We spent an entire day driving Tomales Bay, Drakes Beach-saw the Tule Elk-there were signs every so often that you could pull over and read history of the region.

Not sure if we got lucky but saw two large herds (close) and a small unhappy group of young bulls. The scenery is stunning, the trail is moderate, and the vista are stupendous.
