I stopped here for a short walk during my visit to the Sonoma area. The parking area just outside the gate is free and you can walk in. There are a couple of shorter loops you can do near the entry that bring you to...More

If you're visiting this area we highly recommend visiting this Redwood Reserve. It's very beautiful and clean - well maintained. We went during the week and it wasn't too crowded. A wide variety of trails for hikers of every level.

We spent a relaxing morning walking through fantastic redwood groves. Hiking trails range from flat and easy to hilly and challenging. Going to come back when the streams are full. Just a beautiful place to enjoy nature and take photos.

It's a really easy park to get to, parking is somewhat limited so be careful. There are several paths you can take. Can take a couple of hours of strolling or it can be a lengthy hike. We opted for the easy walk through the...More

How can you visit California and not see the redwoods? A lovely walk in the forest, amazing trees and great photo opportunities-and its all free of charge! This is well worth an hour or so meandering the trails.

We stopped here after a tour of the Korbel winery. The price was $7 per car. The redwoods were wonderful! Not having the time on this vacation to go to the large redwood forest further north, these redwoods were very large.

Wonderful park. Get there early or struggle with parking. You can walk on flat lands or scale the side of a mountain. Be prepared for a steep climb up to 440 feet before thinking of leveling off. The air in the park is amazing. Dappled...More

We stopped at the Armstrong Redwoods for a peaceful interlude on a wine tasting trip. There was an easily accessible loop with a wide, flat, dirt path that took us through the old growth trees. There are many wineries in the area, so it was...More

Why bother with the crowds and hassle of Muir Woods when you can enjoy an equally beautiful grove of redwoods just a short drive to the north? Arrive early, park your car, and wander the paths through majestic old growth trees. Well designed for strollers...More

Beautiful huge redwoods. Enjoyed the short walk to the amphitheater as well as several other short walks through the redwood forest. Ground is level and easy to walk. Highly recommend.

Only if you were headed South on the 101 from North of Santa Rosa, otherwise it would be at least an hour away.

I did not see any RV parking specifically marked but if you get there early enough, the lot is big enough. You can hike from there to all there is to see. Better yet, park in Guerneville and uber or bike to the park. Then... More
