I just did a fast walk through the garden area. It is really beautiful. I never knew you could just walk in without paying, or having a "tour". I would have spent more time, but my husband was sitting in the car with our dog.

When it or passing through Encinitas you have to stop and experience this place. Take a few shots, walk down and shoot some video of the surfer's at Swami's Point and you'll be able to say you did Encinitas.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy peace and tranquility along the cliff of the Pacific. This has been a spot for years, my first experience here was 40 years ago! It is free to go in but I believe they are closed on Mondays....More

There is no charge to visit the gardens. As for the best time of year, I have been there in October as well as January and February. Each time I have visited, there have been flowers in bloom. Much care goes into maintaining... More
