This was my first trip to Del Mar, and with my comparison to Pacific and Mission Beach - Del Mar is the perfect mix. It's got that family/not too crowded/no one is going to run you over kind of feel! There were lots of surf...More

Surfers, dolphins out past the break, incredible designs in the sand left by the receding tides, whimbrels and sand pipers - a great start to any day

This is a beautiful beach with a lovely park on the bluff, but parking is a challenge. Good visibility to the lifeguard tower, but parking sometimes requires a walk.

This beach is a real treat. It’s clean, wide and is great for swimming and sunbathing. There is a bathroom that is clean on the beach. There is nowhere to buy food so bring your own picnic. Parking is sparse. Must get to the beach...More

This was a great beach but we went in the 4th of July so the crowds were very large. Parking is also a challenge but the views are amazing.

I really enjoyed this beach, lots of active people, joggers, boogie boarding, kite flying, people watching, storm watching, oceanside eateries.

Beautiful views. Lots of surfers, swimmers and sunbathers. There is a park at the entry of the beach with nice grassy areas and places to BBQ and picnic.

I love running on this beach, doing an out and back from Solana Beach/Dog Beach towards Torrey Pines and back. Check a tides timetable before you head out, depending on which end you start at.
