Yes, you do get to swim with the majestic whale sharks, however, the area gets super crowded with the tourists. Boats barely give you 20 to 30 minutes in the sea.  Also, you've to wait 2-3 hours in line, and the washroom was extremely dirty. The loos were flooded and people were still using it.  5 stars for Whale Sharks and minus 3 stars for management.

Our scuba diving experience at Oslob with the whale-sharks was a dream come true. We had a 46 minutes dive and was in awe of the 6 whale sharks we dived with. We were not caught in the masses that go snorkeling with them, diving is definitely the better option, and it was everything we hoped for.

Although the swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob, Cebu is a rather controversial activity, no one can deny that it is an incredible experience. Whale sharks, the gentle giants of the sea can be found mainly in two spots in the Philippines. In Donsol, Sorsogon where you can see them swimming during their regular migratory route, or those that are in Oslob, Cebu

This is now a major attraction on the island of Cebu. Literally thousands of tourist are herded at 7 am for a quick swim with the sharks, who are tamely following a feeder in his little boat, dishing food to the shark. Countless boats carrying each about 10 tourists stay in the vicinity and the tourists get in the water with snorkel. The sight in the water is incredibly fantastic. The large sharks come very close and you can inspect them at leisure. It is very beautiful and impressive because the animals are large , up to 9m, and very elegant with their spotted skin. The cost of this activity is about 1500 php or 30 EUR for 2 hours of which 1 hour is for the briefing and queuing.
