Went on Labor Day. Easy parking the beach was pretty crowded and a lot of dogs. All playing and well behaved. We have a 7 month old doodle who went for the -st time. She was so happy, jumping around like a kangaroo! We had a blast. No bathrooms. Doggie shower at beginning of pathway to the portion of dog beach. If it wasn’t a holiday, the planes flying overhead are awesome!

Clean, beautiful views all around! Great spot for people and their furry family members to enjoy a stroll along a family-friendly and dog-friendly beach.

This dog beach is better than Ocean Beach dog beach--owners are more aware of their dogs, take better care of dog doodoo, interact with one another
better, and are overall more conscientious. Plus, there's a handy hose-off set up for the dogs at the entrance, which is nice if your fur baby is sandy! We travel with a deaf dog, so she can be aggressive when surprised by visiting canines in her "space", but everyone is understanding and we watch her constantly for being surprised.

So many happy fur-balls, all running, chasing balls, braving the cold water, and (surprisingly) all getting along really well! This expanse of beach is located between the military fencing and signage and the end of the Hotel Del Coronado. We could have stayed for hours just watching them cavort.

We don't have a dog but we always enjoy walking along beautiful Coronado beach from the Del north to Dog Beach where we watch all the happy dogs playing in the ocean. So much fun!

We spent two wonderful days by Coronado beach with our kid and dog. It was fun to let her run off leash and play with other dogs. We built castles and played toys. Parking is usually easy just be patient.
On the second day my son did get stung by a stingray and was in a world of hurt. However it is common and happens to the best of them. Just be safe and watch your loved ones.

The northern part of the beach offers an area for pooches to run, chase each other, get wet and enjoy a state of bliss.
There's something about seeing dogs in/around the water as they enjoy the elements. Even if not a dog owner, worth the trip to visit to enjoy some four-legged friends enjoying the outdoors

We stay in Coronado during the winter months. Our daughter has three (!!) dogs and we always meet her at the HUGE dog beach on the weekend. Great place for meeting other dog lovers.

Try a search for Bring Fido and Coronado Beach. I tried to send you the link but TripAdvisor does not allow that action.
They advertise pet friendly accommodations in Coronado and permit 2+ dogs so you can start there.

I don't know. We live nearby. Whenever we travel with our dogs I always look for a LaQuinta hotel. They are hit or miss.
