Step back in time and comfort to when going to the movies was a delightful experience...plush seats, lots of leg room, fresh popcorn with butter, big screen with good sound system. It makes a movie special.

Vintage cinema with quite cheap movie tickets. The seating configuration is not optimal though - if you are on the outer ends of the row, you have to watch the screen from an uncomfortable angle.

Welk, it is the only theater. Staff was friendly. Theater is very nostalgic. There are 3 theater rooms inside. The north wall is painted with the san diego skyline and the south has the coronado hotel painted on it. Even the bathrooms are retro. Very cool

We got a bit of history from the couple we sat next to in the theater. They said the renovation on it was great compared to 20 years ago. Wished we had known you CAN figure out what movie is in the 'big' theater. We went in the small one on a Saturday night, and there were 2 seats left in the back row which we grabbed because forget the first 3 rows (way too close). Prices are reasonable on food and drink and we would definitely go back again. How cool of a place!!! Glad we bought our tickets in the afternoon. Show up early for a good seat.

The 1947 landmark building theater underwent a major renovation in 2011 and you can bet the community had a large voice in keeping and restoring its original character and charm. Terrazzo floors, etched glass doors, and that marquee all celebrated the theater's art deco past. It's a community anchor in the Coronado Village along Orange Avenue.

Saw two movies during my 5 day stay. Sound and picture quality were excellent. Go for the atmosphere- it's an old style movie theater with curtains, ceiling and wall decorations. Seats were comfortable with clear views of screen. Full array of refreshments with friendly service. Ticket prices very reasonable. Fun time.

A historic landmark that has been modernized. So different than today’s mega theaters. This venue has only two screens with each having only about fifty seats. But, they are all good. A fantastic movie experience.

I was recently on Coronado for a business trip and found myself with nothing really to do on a Wednesday night. Fortunately, I discovered this gem of a movie theater. No lines, and the seats were comfortable. Certainly a charming spot to catch a movie, though the offerings and times are limited because of its small size. Totally recommend if you have an evening with nothing to do on Coronado and want to stay within walking distance of your hotel.
