Ocean Avenue and Carmel are a tourist must see. Take your family, wife and or girlfriend and have a terrific visit.

Although it was never for poor people, the shops are more and more high end. There are more wine tasting sites than in the past.

Take a walk down the street to see what is there, but if you are not interested in snobby venues or consumerism go to Point Lobos instead, much more interesting and beautiful.
