would have preferred to peak over the shoulder of the workers and trainees. Hard to really see and appreciate the various items as the are behind glass, Front door staff were gracious. Once is enough

No, you do not have to be a member and it's free. You do have to call and reserve. You must present identification at the gate to gain entrance to the facility.
