- MHecoxSacramento, California185 contributionsLegoland & Aquarium VisitOur first trip to Legoland with our son (almost 11). Very happy we visited in a “slower” month. We purchased tickets and parking in advance - it was a breeze parking. Since we arrived close to opening, we waited in the security line for approx 20 minutes. Never waited for any ride more than 20 minutes throughout the whole day. Most rides were under a 10 minute wait. We added the Aquarium to our tickets - it’s a nice, smaller aquarium. Enjoyable (in the summer or during heavier times, I could see it being very cramped and harder to maneuver inside). Lunch for the 3 of us was about $70. Some food spots were closed and some didn’t open until later in the day… A couple areas were closed.. but there was plenty to still do and see.Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your 4-Star Review with us! We are delighted to hear that you were able to experience and enjoy your visit with us on our slower days! We hope that you were also able to enjoy your lunch with us! We hope that you can visit us again sometime soon! - Cheryl MPhoenix, Arizona156 contributionsLegoland in CA rocks!!This was a great experience. We booked the pirate themed room at the resort with a 2 day hopper pass. The pirate room with a bunk bed tucked away from the main room to give everyone a little privacy was a nice surprise. Lego land really paid attention to the detail for small children. Child and adult toilet seats, step stools to reach the sink, small soap for small hands. The treasure hunt the first night is fun and gives you a chance to see the gathering area. Both nights when we returned from the theme parks, there was an interactive storytelling event going on in the lobby, which really helped in the unwind before back to the room. The theme parks were VERY clean and have play areas for the kids around the waiting lines, so kids are happy while adults stand in line, really cuts the stress of restless kids in lines. The included breakfast is great, no continental here. A good hot breakfast to start the day was perfect. In the theme park, we ate at the bar-b-que place, the hamburger place and Annies - all were so good. The elevators play dance music, so when the doors open everyone in the elevator is dancing, this made for some interesting sites and so much fun. I think the adults were more into dancing then the kids. Overall, this is one of the best them park experiences I have had and would recommend this any person with small children. Everyone was always smiling, guests (all ages) and the staff.Hello, Thank you for sharing and leaving us a 5-Star Review!! - Cat HLondon, United Kingdom33 contributionsMagical spooky weekendWe booked a weekend stay at the Legoland Castle hotel during their Brick or Treat event. The whole weekend was magical and the children had the best time. A couple of points for those considering doing the same 1) Kids have to be over 48" tall to go in the hotel swimming pool without a hotel-provided life vest. This was a little frustrating for my son who measured about 47" given the trip was a reward for a fantastic swim team season! However, he didn't need one for the waterpark so at least there he could swim/move easily. 2) As hotel guests you get early entry to the park, however, the whole park is not open at this point. On the Sunday we got entry at 9 a.m., but only 4 rides were accessible until 10 a.m. 3) Pop badges - these can be collected around the park however we were over halfway into our trip before we realised they're free and that children need to ask for them at the rides, concessions etc. Overall we had a brilliant fun-filled family weekend and I'm sure we'll go back again.Hello, Thank you for your 4-Star review of LEGOLAND California! We appreciate your feedback following your recent visit to the Park. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the guest experience, so we thank you for sharing about your recent visit with us. - DEBORAH W1 contributionKids enjoyed legos while waiting in lineWe enjoyed our trip. Staff was helpful and friendly. Tried to use the 40% off discount from the AMC cup when we booked online and was told that promotion wasn't valid for CA. We got the cup in Las Vegas when we wenr to the movies. I feel we should have been given some discount. Nope.Hello Deborah, Thank you for leaving and sharing us your 5-Star Review!! We are happy to hear that your trip was great as well as our staff being able to accommodate you for all your wants and needs. Unfortunately, with the AMC cup we do not provide any discounts it would have to be a cup purchased by us. - Binti B1 contributionLaidback Fall at LegolandLoved the ease of moving through the park at this time of year (early Fall). Although it was not our first time at Legoland, we discovered more things about the park and hotels this trip. We were able to spend more time with staff, and at exhibits and rides. Of course we missed the fun live music and special events the park has to offer in summer, but enjoyed a more laid back visit this time.Hello, We are pleased to read that you had a nice relaxing visit. It is nice when the ride queues are not long and the Park isn't crowded. We do hope that you will visit again very soon! We thank you for this nice review. - Daisy LTurks and Caicos4 contributionsSo much fun for entire familyWe went Oct 5 2023. It was a very hot day, luckily ride wait times were 0-20 mins which is so amazing compared to other theme parks. We were 2 adults and our 6 year old and we all had fun. Rides do seem for younger ages but we enjoyed them. It was easy to get food and snacks everywhere. Definitely try the apple fries! The highlight of the trip was staff member Christian..? (Staff at lobby of the castle hotel). He was very helpful and made my child's visit memorable. My child's review is 11/10 because the unikitty ride and the nice man (Christian).Hi, We are happy to know that you and your family enjoyed visiting the Resort. - Jessica L1 contributionWonderful Family TimeThank you LegoLand Resort and theme parks for an AWESOME experience! The attention to detail is what makes LegoLand so much FUN! Seriously make sure you keep looking around, there is funny and unique things all over the place. So FUN! We did a 2 day trip with a visit to the SEALIFE Aquarium the first day, staying the night at the Hotel in a pirate theme room and then doing LegoLand and Brick or Treat on day 2. The kids and adults all enjoyed every moment!!! We all look forward to our next visit. We appreciate everything is about the whole family having fun! And putting the kids first! If you are a LEGO fan you definitely need to visit. A special shout out and Thank You to the housekeeping staff Margarita who did a great job with the room and we were glad to meet. She was so kind to the kids.Thank you Margarita! October is a fun time to go. We really enjoyed Brick or Treat. We love ocean life as a family and really enjoyed the Aquarium and its exhibits as well.Hello, Thank you so much for the 5-star review! - angm212173 contributionsTerrible customer serviceTerrible customer service, but park is great! You have to book tickets before you go. We tried booking the water pass and park for the next day but earliest booking was Saturday. No where on the site did it say water park was closed during the week. We called their phone and no one would pick up and our concierge was useless. We ended up going there, then having to book on our phone. The in person attendant wasn’t friendly at all either. Some food vendors were shut down at the park but they had like 5 people staffed at the aquarium entrance which made no sense. The park was great and kids were happy which is why I gave it 4 stars. Good luck navigating the sight.Hello Angela, We appreciate you sharing your review. If you buy a refill Legoland cup, beware of the machines not having something you want because of the crazy demand they’re in 😂 we stayed at the Legoland Hotel and that was so nice and clean! Dinner and Breakfast buffets were great as well and the employees were attentive and quick to get things situated for us. Wait stay were pleasant and helpful for the amount of people they deal with regularly. Where to start? I took my eldest (now 17) here back when he was 5 and again when he was 12 with horrible experiences. Today, as I stand here now in Egyptian area I have come across 1 gentleman who had good customer service and helped. Yearly I go to Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Seaworld, Zoo, Safari Park, Magic Mountain, amoung other amusement parks with my boys as Im 100% service connected and try to give to my boys what the service robbed them of, a father thats checked in for fun and not at the VA constantly for treatments (multiple times every week). Being so close to Camp Pendleton you would think this amusement park would be more friendly towards disabled vets and understanding of our issues in crowded lines in enclosed spaces with people bumping into you while yelling and screaming. I would love to make Legoland a normal stop as we are San Diego locals, but the lack of professionalism by 99% of the staff in a childrens targeted location is ridiculous. Not sure I will ever revisit the park, or maybe try again in anothee 5 years? As far as Im concerned, my anxiety is through the roof, I got massive shortness of breath, cold sweating, hypeevigillance is through the roof profiling everyone like Im on watch, and my migraine is ridiculous. Trying hard to not correct peoples rudeness as it feels like the park employees have zero customer service skills on being friendly, polite or helpful. Spend a good $20k a year on my kids having fun as well the numerous vet groups I go with to suppoet one another. If they all acted like this place Id never hit another spot again. The staff here must take lesaons from the VA staff cause wow, beyond words. I dont even write bad reviews and Im not even out od the park yet.

We purchased two day hopper tickets for my son's birthday & stayed at the Castle Hotel for two nights (Thurs-Sat). Automatically comes with a breakfast buffet, which was just "ok". For the price you pay to stay there, the food quality at the buffet could be better, just don't forget to make reservations at least a day before because it does get crowded & you'll be waiting in line to get a table. We reserved a table for 730am and we didn't have to wait.
I checked in online a few days before our arrival, but make sure to speak to the front desk staff to make sure you're room is set. I was told i'd get my code around 4pm, but I never received via text so around 420 i went to ask and they checked me in & gave me my keys. Not sure if that was just a misunderstanding on my part, but Im glad I asked. The room & building did have a particular "old smell" I did not care for. For the price I paid, I would've preferred cleaner smelling rooms.
The rooms have a "scavenger hunt" which will open a treasure chest that has some goodies for the kids. Make sure you get that info at the front desk, staff forgot to give me my scavenger hunt paper so I had to go back downstairs, and just FYI, you have to look in the lobby and Dragon's den area to get your clues. So if you want to save yourself some time & knock that out right away, then ask the front desk for more info. The hotel forgot one of the gifts for the kids, so we were short a lego set.
We were close to the playground & pool area which was nice. Kids loved running around that area in the evening while the Lego movie played. Helps that there's a bar nearby so the adults can have drink. LOL.
Some of the issues I found with the hotel was the smell & the limited food choices. If you're bold enough to venture out of the area, there's some food choices about 5 minutes outside the park.
The hotel has a text service in case you need any assistance with your luggage, valet, room requests, etc which was cool, even better is they were very responsive & prompt with all of our requests.
We valet'd our car, which was $30 per day, but you're going to pay $25 for self parking. So I didn't mind the convenience of not having to drag my bags to my room. Especially with a family of 5.
Overall, we had a great experience at the hotel and the park. The staff was friendly & professional. Just understand you're going to Legoland & not Disney. The quality & experience are different. You can still have fun, just slow down, take a deep breath and enjoy the time with family. The kids had fun & our trip was truly a memorable one.

Bought GoPass, they wouldn’t let you in before you first have your pass printed at one of their booth. Every single one of their booths was closed when we arrived shortly after 3pm. We had to go to the “membership services” kiosk, where a gigantic line of impatient customers were also waiting in line to have their pre-paid tickets printed. We asked if they could at least open one booth, but they refused. Most people paid $25 to $35 of parking, so coming back the next day isn’t very enticing. We complained that it’s poor customer service. Wouldn’t recommend.

Hello GuillaumeC2263,
We are very sorry to hear about the problems you faced with the booths and membership services. Our ticket booths typically close prior to the park closing so it's likely there wasn't staff to open the booths. When membership services is busy, we will keep staff there to address as many questions as possible from Guests since they can do more types of transactions than the ticket booth. I am sorry that this wasn't expressed to you.
Parking is $25 but when there is an issue such as this, membership services will work with Guests to they can return to finish a transaction without having to pay for parking again.
Thank you for your comments and feedback. We appreciate hearing from our Guests.
Warm Regards,

We just got back from a 2-Day Legoland trip yesterday.
I really struggled between 3-4 stars. I'd say 3.5 stars.
We live in Los Angeles so for us it's a 2-hour drive. I might of been more disappointed if I flew across country to come to Legoland.
You will see a lot of mixed reviews of Legoland. That's because Legoland is very inconsistent. You can definitely feel that energy in the park.
Some places are open to eat and some are not. Some rides are working and some are not. Some lego statues are clean and some are chipped, faded, broken, covered in spiderwebs and bird poop. Some rides are fun and some rides are VERY forgettable. Sometimes they have staff for things and sometimes they don't.
We spent a whole day in the main park and then the second day in waterpark, aquarium and main park.
We reserved (in advance) a $250 cabana at the waterpark and needed to wait in a line to get your assigned cabana when you arrive. It took about 40 minutes to reach the front of the line because only one window was open (and we got there when it opened). We stood in line for 30 minutes to get food and then another 30 minutes for it to be ready. Both those things were major disappointments. But we were lucky and mostly everything in the Waterpark was open and my daughter had a blast.
The lines for rides are very slow. Even if hardly anyone is waiting. They seem to go at a leisurely pace which was frustrating.
One ride we were in line for suddenly broke down and we were all told to leave.
Food was overall just okay. Heard a lot about Granny's Apple Fries. I didn't like them at all. Castle Hill Ice Cream was AMAZING though!!!
Overall we had fun and our daughter really enjoyed herself. The inconsistency wasn't great but I expected it from prior reviews and felt lucky to have so much open in the Waterpark when we went.

Loved the kick back easy going nature of this park. More spacious, clean (lots of bathrooms) and organized. But the deluxe reserve and ride if you can afford it it will help you minimize time in line. As soon as you check in for one ride reserve the next one and you will basically go from one ride to the next without much dead time. The downside is that you have to usually go to the entrance of the park to buy the reserve and ride as the online purchase is defective.

We had a great experience in the hotel however the park was another story. The park service's employees were incredibly rude. We probably will not be going back because of that experience. People staying in the hotels get a 30 minute early entrance to the park, but is an absolute joke. When we brought our concerns to The guest services attention they basically told us to go away. Legoland and Sealife was amazing for my
8, 7, 4 and 2 year old. Plenty of fun activities for everyone and many rest areas complete with playgrounds to keep the babies occupied. Food was reasonably priced for the portions and we thoroughly enjoyed the smokehouse restaurant. May I suggest bringing your own water As it can get quite expensive buying from the park also park hopper tickets are a must so you can travel between Attractions. We went end of July and lines averages 10-30mins wait.

When we were planning our trip my grandson's only request was to go to Legoland. Because he had suffered thru a number of personal trageties this year we spent the additional money to have him stay with his grandfather & friend at the hotel at Legoland and have 2 days entry to the park. Will has a medical Diabetes alert dog that stays with him 24/7. While at time this can cause problems his treatment at both the hotel and park were apalling. First a customer complained that the dog was in the dining area. He took this all the way to management. Not your fault but distressing to him. When they went to the park to go on some the rides he was told that his grandfather could not hold the dog while he was on the ride. Sooo no rides either. He spent that day and the next in his room so that there would not be any more problems caused by him.
This was all very unnessary. His grandfather went to go back into the park but did not get a stamp before he left but was able to show his voutcher that he used to get in. They said there was nothing they could do and he could not go back in. He later went back to the hotel and they helped him staighten this out. All in all this incedent spoilled what should have been an awesome visit. Please educate employee on how to handle people with disabilities. There was no excuse as to why his grandfather could not have held the dog while he went on a 5 min ride..

Dear TAGG-2020,
We apologize for your experience with us on your December Trip. We do allow Service Dogs to enter our park and stay with the group throughout the retail, dining, model displays, however, for the safety of the dog and our guests we cannot accommodate them on attractions. This is stated on our website and we offer many communication channels if anything needs to be cleared up before our guest's trips.
All of our Attractions Staff and Management Staff are well knowledged with our Access Guide and we have to follow our procedures for all of our guest's safety and I'm sorry to see some of these dampened your trip with us. We have shared your feedback with Management.
Best regards,
Matthew Shelman

Avoid at all costs!
I'll start with the good. The concierge service was good, but I would expect that for a $30 / night Valet charge. The kids, aged 5 and 6 loved the Egypt-themed room.
Check in on my mobile was okay, but the room keys would not print. Fortunately desk staff assisted and we got up to our room, albeit a little longer than we thought after going through the pre arrival process.
If only we hadn't needed to eat supper...
We tried the now broken web address, then made a few internal calls. Eventually the text gene sent us a menu - from 2020. This led to a little confusion when trying to order. Eventually I went down and found a recent version of the in room dining menu. We were told that the food would be ready at 8:00 (a 40 minute wait). So the process which began at 6:30 took 90 minutes. By now my tired and hungry daughters were a little less enthusiastic about their initial Legoland experience.
I went down at 7:55, and my food was waiting at a table. I asked for a call when it was ready, but I was told that I could pick it up at 8:00. They do deliver for an 8:00 fee plus 18% gratuity. I am left to wonder how long it had been sitting there, as it was lukewarm, at best. They also gave me an extra burger, which may have been a nice gesture, except I was charged for it.
Another elevator ride down and I marched into the lobby to find a manager to speak with. Dejan and I had a heart to heart, where he waived tonight's "resort fee" that I was actually unaware of! Why the $33 fee? I asked. It covered the drinks in our room (2 juice boxes), entertainment - I am guessing the dance party room? and "free" wifi. I was not able to comprehend how something should be advertised as free when it is part of a resort fee, but maybe that was the starvation kicking in.
I left the burger with Dejan and he said that should take it since I paid for it. I had to reexplain that I was not prepared to pay for it, nor did I need the extra food. He said that he would credit the $16 back to my room charges (that remains to be seen, and frankly I would be surprised if that happens!)
I was not asking for much, but I feel that the bare minimum was done to atone for the comedy of errors that awaited us at Legoland. We are going to the park tomorrow, with low expectations based on our experience so far. Things need to run much more smoothly than they do here. I regret that we still have another day here at this point!

Staying at the Legoland Hotel got us in an hour earlier than those who didn't, which only gives you access to one ride, a "dino" sand pit, and PAID games. The one food place(coffee/lattes, pastries, etc) was the only place to claim our prepaid 2 day refillable drink cups until the entire park opens, which we didn't know, and by the time we figured that out the line was packed already and moving slowly. We ended up deciding to wait until the first hour was open and just get the cups elsewhere because our son was losing patience due to wanting to get his driver's license(which we prepaid for 4 of) and drive a car for the first time in his life by himself. After we did that, we were told by 2 separate food employees, at separate vendors, that the restaurants with the 2 day cups didn't open until noon(3 hours after our 9am early entrance). We finally had a moment around 1pm to find a restaurant for the cups and to eat lunch(4 hours of nothing to drink because no outside food or drink is allowed per the website and our son was in total fixation mode) at the all you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad spot. They had already ran out of the 2 day cups and the lady working the register offered zero help on how to get them!!!!! Luckily, the meals came with beverages during the meal.. It took us until after 5pm to make our way back to that original Cafe in the front of the park to get our cups. The park closed at 6pm... Absolutely unbelievable. What is the point of buying them in advance for a discount if you only have time to fill them up once???

We are flying into San Diego Airport and staying at legoland for 2 nights and then flying back out; not planning on renting a car. Can anyone provide tips on getting an Uber or Lyft from SAN to legoland (should we reserve ahead of time with risk of flight delays Or should we book a ride after we arrive? ). Also, how is it getting an Uber/Lyft from Legoland to the airport? Any other transportation suggestions is welcome too. Thanks!
