There is nothing much remaining of the castle, but the walk up to the site is pleasant and not too strenuous, and is rewarded with nice views.

Yes once you reach the top it is a nice view and you are almost quaranteed to be alone there for quite a while the hike in the height of summer was more annoying then pleasant (mosquitos along some parts). We just did it out...More

great views of the town below and a pretty to the top. well worth the climb. not really any ruins however there are plenty of signs that help to explain what was there.

Well worth the effort to see the beautiful view. The forest of pine and splashes of azalea magenta with a lot of bird and funny frogs, probably croaking in Japanese made the walk very interesting. Get a map from Ryokan Fujioto.
