For an official landmark, it's next to impossible to see. It's a steep walk uphill from the main street. There's one only parking space near it on a narrow hillside road. Supposedly there are scheduled tours but you'd have to be lucky to hit it,...More

The owner, Michael, requests a $10 donation pp at the end of the tour. Mike bought this place about 20 years ago and only after the property sale concluded did he learn that the water rights to this property (a $300,000 fee) had been sold...More

Not really worth checking out. We went just looks like a bunch of junk on a house that is in really bad shape.

We first saw this house on the PBS television show "Huwell Houser California " After asking the locals where we could find this place, off we went. You go up a steep hill and all of a sudden, there it is in all its glory....More

This was a fascinating place, and Neal reminded me of Rodia. Don't miss it if you are in Cambria, but watch your step on the tour. "Human Waste" tours are on the hour, but get there early for parking.

What an amazing place, and amazing stories told by Mike who ran the tour. Unpolished and great fun, made for an excellent change from the norm.

Had taken the granddaughters to Hearst Castle last year. This year's adventure was the Nitt Witt Ridge. Mike is great. We enjoyed this walk about as much as the girls. Definitely different then other tours. Don't think the locals are on board with this place....More

Mike spins a tragic tale of Art's life before, during and following his magnum opus in Cambria. Well worth the 10 buck voluntary contribution at the end of the tour. From remaining items not pilfered after Art's departure to interviews with neighbors, Mike shows one...More
