The Sharpsteen Museum is small - but well worth a visit when you are in Calistoga. I've always been fascinated with Sam Brannan's history in San Francisco and, thanks to the museum, discovered that he also had an impactful association with the Calistoga area. Add...More

If you are a history nerd, this is definitely worth a visit. The exhibits are somewhat homemade, but charming and fascinating history of Calistoga's founder Sam Brennan and the characters that followed him. We spent an hour there.

The museum I'm talking about is in the town of Calistoga, CA. It'seems a great little-known museum with a lot of pioneer history! You'll find it really interesting! !
