When planning your visit to Calistoga, you’ll learn a lot if you make your first stop at the Welcome Center for guidance to get the most out of a visit. The Welcome Center is easily located at 1133 Washington Street, behind Brannan’s Grill.

Be sure to stop in here for all of your travel needs. They have plenty of maps and brochures and they are friendly and helpful. I liked the picture of Calistoga from the 1940's because it shows how well the main street was preserved.

We did not visit any mud spas, although this area is known for them. I therefore didn't ask for any information about them at the visitors center, but I think they would be able to advise you about them.
