Amazing location in the natural gorges between Parang and Capatanii Mountains. All the icons and murals are original. Working monastery inhabited by about 20 nuns.

Another beautiful Monastery with a splendid scenery with the mountains in the back from Transaplina. Inside it is clean, nice preserved and a lot of people come here to relax. It is close to Pestera Muierii, world wide known for it's length.

Located in a magnificent landscape, close to Oltețului Canyon. The paintings on the outside, as well as in the inside of the church are superb. From the monastery, you can go and visit the Polovragi Cave for a small fee (6 ron / person).
