Truly, we traveled more then ten days around Romania, and this was our top place in Romania. Enchanting immensity of the nature. We walked with five years kid and it was not a big challenge to reach this place from the campground. We recommend it...More

It is an ponor - hence the name with horizontal cave system and a river at the bottom. Some parts of it are only for the experienced, but much of it can be reached anyone at almost any age. I is a very beautiful place...More

i would recommend this place not only for the thrill seekers but also for kids, parents, schools, foreigners, whomever likes nature in its untouched state. To visit the cave you will have many marked routes to follow, shortest being 1/2 hours from a dirt road....More

30-40 minutes from the road.The entrance in the cave is 76 meters high. "The way" is somewhat accessible.

In Apuseni Mountains are many wonders of nature but Ponor Fortress are most spectacular. To get there you have to be equipped and to have some physical training. But crossing underground caves and views worth the effort.
