Bodega Head is always the first place I take out of town or out of state visitors. The ocean and white water views are amazingly gorgeous. You can follow a trail to the shore below or follow a pathway above. Many people bring chairs to...More

A bit of a drive to get out to the head but what great views. It was incredibly windy there. We didn’t have time for a hike but I’m sure that would have been lovely. If you like to hike along cliffs-this is your spot!...More

The lady at the visitor's centre said this was a must-see, so even though it wasn't on our The Birds to-do list, we drove across. We're so glad we did, as the views along the coast were stunning, with impressive cliffs and lovely beaches. Given...More

We went to Bodega Head after dinner one evening in hopes of seeing the sunset. No luck on the sunset-it was too foggy. So we took a trail and hiked around the area. It was beautiful! All sort of wild flowers were visible, as well...More

Worth the trek to the beach. Breathtaking views of the powerful Pacific. Very windy on top of the cliff. Bring a jacket.

Walk beautiful scenery, quiet, lovely, windy but not right for flying a kite, which we tried. It's a great loop, just figure out the loop continuation because we got a bit confused on the way back.

We had traveled from Napa to Bodega Bay for the express purpose of visiting this natural wonder. Upon arrival, it was very cold and the wind almost whipped us off the cliff. This is a very scenic location and, on a good day, provides a...More

Head north along the path that climbs to a very nice view of the bay behind you and the rocky Pacific coast in front of you.

Lovely walk along the coastal area, wildflowers were blooming and the seals were resting on rocks in the bay.

I did not take a dog that day and so did not look. In earlier times the dog was allowed on a leash. I think the trails are rather delicate now and much of the vegetation at the lower levels has blown away.

The parking lot has a few holes. But the viewing areas there are pretty easy and safe. There are trails on the hillside that power or beach wheel chairs could move on. But the view from the parking lot are real good.
