We live in Benicia, CA and helped clean-up litter alongside the waterways to celebrate Earth Day locally. Our City fronts on a waterway for five miles....we hike, fish, swim, picnic at various parking areas. Our lighted- tree-lined Main Street houses, not only historic areas, but...More

Historic Benicia is a great place to walk. It's about a mile's walk from the top of First Street (at Military West) down to the pier at Benicia Point. Or, you can drive all the way down First Street to Benicia Point where there is...More

Always a nice place to visit to get away from it all, the waterfront is very relaxing and the fishing must be good because there are lots of folks fishing.

One of my favorite places to walk our dogs and just look at the beautiful views. Love sitting on a bench on a warm night enjoying the cool breezes off the water.

The description says 'Beach' but only a small 'beach' area is available during low tide. The entire pier area is covered with rip-rap and isn't a place to play. This area has been redone nicely. The boardwalk area has new concrete, palm trees and the...More

Great water view with excellent parking. There are a lot great shops and restaurants all around the area. They also have lots of special events and a great fireworks show on the 4th of July.

A nice short walk if you are visiting downtown Benicia. Great views of the strait to the bridges at either end. Certainly worth a few minutes on a pleasant day.

We walk our dog down 1st street and out on the pier all the time. There is always something to see. Our dog likes to wade in the water and chase the pigeons on the pier.

Pro: free parking, public restroom, nice view of 4th of July fireworks. Con: no night life except for bars up the street.
