The museum is in need of some upkeep and the art needs restoration. But it is a very interesting place to get a flavour of the history of Cajamarca, particularly church history. The collection of telephones may be relevant in 100 years! The catacombs were...More

What a collection of oddities. The religious art is naive and badly in need of restoration. The four typewriters ... why are they there ... the vestiments, well if you like that sort of thing but the highlight is the small Jesus doll hidden in...More

Large and impressive architecture. Definitely worth taking a trip inside to observe the artwork. There is a small plaza between it and the Plaza de Armas that is nice to sit in as well.

I believe that the style here is Baroque. The church has two chapels. I also went into the museum in back for a tour. That was in Spanish, so I only understood part of it, but I enjoyed it.
