The name suggests that this must be an Inn for the Merchant and travelers visiting Mandu. It is simple medieval structure which encloses a large courtyard area. It is located opposite Malik Mughith's Mosque.

As the name states this used to be used to provide shelters for travelers possibly. Usual Mughal Architecture with Pillared hallways and huge courtyard. You can still distinctly see the rooms thats were a part of this complex.

This Sarai or Inn of olden times, stands testimony to various periods of history, mainly Islamic period of Medieval India. The area is very well planned and appeared to be very well maintained.
