This is the only temple in hampi , where still puja performed . It is very big ,neat and clean . They keep a elephant inside who give ashirbad.. too much of monkey . I suggest do not carry banana or any food item inside...More

The only functioning temple in Hampi dedicated to Lord Shiva. Part of the temple has ruins but still functioning unlike other attraction spots in Hampi.

This temple is part of the Group of Monuments at Hampi, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple is dedicated to Virupaksha, a form of Shiva. Don't forget to take a look at the tank beside.One of the old functioning temple of Hampi.

Well, 3 days are more than enough to explore hampi and badami. I did a solo trip over during the holi weekend. It will require a lot of stamina to walk around in Hampi . So I suggest you can take a cab or an auto rickshaw... More
