This temple is dedicated to famous musician and poet from Vijaynagar Purandara Das .The temple is situated along the Tungabhadra river and can be easily crossed via small boats . One can also view the ruins of old bridge across the mantap.

This mandapa is almost in the middle of the river with several pillars. Its a good visit. You can either reach this place from the Kodandarama Temple from near Virupaksha Temple of from Vitthala Temple.

You'll come across a lot of mandapas when roaming around Hampi. The structures are still intact, which is surprising!

Further ahead to the kings balance is this mantapa, with several pillars erected in between the river situated near to Vitthala temple complex. Its quite a far walk to this place but worth the time spent.
