The grocery is a small family run business in Tyrrellspass, Co Westmeath. Our mission is to promote local craft and food producers but also provide training in simple crafts and everyday lifestyle. Basket weaving/cheese and yogurt making/knitting/Felting/cookery/jewellery making and much more are just a sample of what we do at our workshops every weekend at the grocery. Our tearooms are open all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9am to 6.30Pm. We serve the finest ground coffee and tea accompanied by our home made treats. Relax in our recently restored georgian building and delight over the beautiful green and crescent in this award winning village.

I loved the feeling of the old fashioned afternoon tea, with matching cups and saucers and teapots. I was there for lunch and everything was fresh and homemade and very tasty.

Quirky, cosy, little café with home baking. Thoroughly enjoyed the candle making course run by Niamh, she was very patient, it was great fun and we produced some lovely candles. She was also very generous with her materials. It was an excellent workshop. The barn...More

My Husband & I got married in the Barn and it was the most beautiful and unique venue. I only have the best things to say about the Venue, the staff and location!

Found this hidden gem by accident today on our way from Limerick to Carrickmacross. Food was home cooked and excellent and so reasonable, coffee brilliant too and served with a smile in beautiful cups! Wished we lived closer, but we will definitely be back!

I adore this place. I live close by, and know it so well. My favourite thing about here is the athmosphere, followed closely by the delish food and the quirky vibe. The shop is local and different. The cafe is quality affordable food and the...More
