When I was in highschool way back 2006, we went on hiking at Malasag together with my classmates and our adviser. Malasag was yet untouched at that time. That was the first time I saw Migtugsok Falls (it was not that known before). We really enjoyed the cool water and the view. Will definitely love to come back again.

Very tricky to find the start of the path to the falls once jumped off the jeepney in barangay Indahag.I have been helped and guided by the local people. A big jump in the nature. My hint is to keep some drinking water with you and to bring a portable umbrella!

I haven't visited the falls for a while but I can still remember the last time I was there. It was quite a long walk going there but it was worth it. Who would've thought that there's a gem within the busy streets of the city? It was an amazing Sunday spent with friends. When my friends will come over (in the future), I would definitely bring them here.

The Indahag to Mapawa trail is moderately easy. It starts with a steep descent that may take 20-40 mins. The trail does not have shade and plants to hold on to. So better start as early as possible before the sun burns your skin. After the descent, you will find the shallow river. Another 20-40 mins is needed for the river trek. I prefer trekking barefoot at this point. You will come across four different waterfalls during the entire trek. The first two are not as high but enjoyable nonetheless. The third is the highest, and the fourth one has the natural slide.

The starting point of the trail is accessible by public transport. You may take a multicab/habal-habal from Cogon to Indahag, and drop near the Indahag public high school, although there's a shortcut, but there's no landmark to describe. Just ask the locals for direction and walk for about 20-30 mins and you'll reach the starting point of the trail.

Multicab fare is 12 pesos, habal-habal is 30 pesos for solo, 15 each for two.

You may also walk your way from Camaman-an (9km??) or Macasandig (6km) as what I did. It took me about an hour though.
