Went on the trip not expecting much but just to go on the ATV and drive up to the volcano. I did the advanced trail on a medium bike for 3,000 pesos (£45 or $60) for me this was well worth the money. My tour guide Mac took my phone at the start and provided me with plenty of pictures and videos of me driving through the picturesque valley of black silt and rocks. We stopped plenty of times to take some cool slow-mo shots of driving through puddles and making splashes which turned out really well and took me to a small clearing where we just messed around for a bit. We got to the lava flow and it was pretty cool but the things that captured my eyes were the views over the legazpi Bay Area and the volcano, absolutely stunning and mind blowing that the eruption from 2 years ago was still hot enough underneath to make steam. Honestly didn’t know what to expect but had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 and a half hours, had to give Mac a tip as he looked after me so well for the afternoon. Thanks Mac and thanks to Your Brother ATV for a great afternoon.

When I fist saw mount Mayon, I was told that I could ride ATV next to it. I never thought it could be so awesome! I loved. They have great staff and our guide was outstanding. Very creative with the camera. I want to repeat!

Enjoyed the ATV Mayon black lava trail even if it was raining at the start. I was alone with the guide. It was a great adventure and the rain further made me enjoy the ride because we passed by streams with flowing water.

Albay has a lot of so-called tourist spots, but most of them just center on giving you a view of the majestic Mayon volcano. The ATV tour does the same, but takes it to a whole different level. Your Brother ATV tours is definitely first class and very professional in this regard. Make sure you book your reservations in advance. They offer pick up and drop off in your hotel, which is very convenient. Cyril, the manager/marketing guy/owner's son, was the one who personally picked us up from our hotel. He was friendly and cheerful and offered lots of chitchat along the way. He was also kind in letting us reschedule our tour at the very last minute.

We took the lavafront trail which is a 2-hour ride that will take you to the "lava wall" which is actually the end of a massive lava flow when Mayon erupted several years ago. The trail itself is very manageable for first timers like us. In fact, I would say it was too "safe". You will be passing through rocky terrain, some small rivers and a few bumps and curves. If you want to maximize your experience, rev up your engine for more fun! The trail is very safe..no cliffs or some other precarious spot that could put your life in danger. We also had a very competent guide, Marlon, who rode ahead of us and kept looking back at us every few minutes to check if we're ok. He would motion for us to stop everytime we reach a pic-worthy spot so he could take a picture of us while we are zooming through.

Upon reaching the lava wall, there is a small cottage where you can rest for a while and buy some drinks. Another guide will accompany you as you climb the lava wall. The wall also is very easy to climb, even a child could do it. Once you reach the top you will get a close up view of the Mayon volcano on one side, and Legazpi City on the other. You can actually skip going to Lignon Hill, as the lava wall will offer you a better view of Mayon (if it's not cloudy).

The trail is fun but a bit expensive. We chose the 2-seater 350cc unit. You have an option to upgrade to a newer and sturdier unit (made from US, they say, with better built and suspension) for P500, but in my opinion, it's not worth it. Their ordinary units are good enough and can handle lots of stress from the journey. I still think, though, that the trail is too safe and we might want to try the advance trail during our next visit.

We found this operator by suggestion of the Legazpi tourist centre. The lady at the tourist centre talked to them and prebooked an ATV tour for the next day.
The tour van arrived on time for pick up the next day and once we arrived to the tour facilities they explained the rules and safety guidelines. However when it was time to pay they started pushing us to get bigger and more expensive ATVs.
We didn't agree with the suggestions as we have done ATVs tours before and we knew 150cc is enough to have lots of fun.
From the beginning as they were explaining the tour something was out of place, the time for the adventure was too short, but we though it was just the ATV part of it not including the trek. unfortunately we didn't make it very clear and although it was our mistake, we felt that it was a scam.
We paid P1800 plus P50 park fees. The ATV tour just took less than 30 minutes each way and the "trek" was less than 15 minutes for only 100 metres, you get to see a mountain of lava where the heliport is, but that's about it and then you can return by Zip line at an extra fee, that's how close it is.
So the ATV adventure is very short and it took us a long time because every time we crossed the little river or hill the guide will take photos of us (with one of our cameras, so free of charge). That was very annoying, but I guess I understand that now a days people just do it to show up. I must say the guide was trying his best to give us a memorable experience.
We thought that you need the ATV to shorten the trek time but actually you can do this trek by your self faster. My recommendation: download on your smart phone an app called maps.me (it a free and offline mapping app), then locate the Legazpi airport behind it to the north there is a road next to Ligñon hill going North, that's where the ATV facilities are. Just take a motorbike to the ATV track actually defined in the map and do it yoursel, Is less than 8 kms return.
There is nothing amazing about it, but it has a nice scenery with the volcano at the back. I suggest that is better going to Camp 1 than to this trek as you climb more, this one only takes you to 280 meters above sea level.
In general we felt that we could have paid 500 more in another place and get the real volcano trek. This was disappointing and the ATVs provided were in really bad maintenance condition; two of the without exhaust (very noisy), 3 didn't have the mud flaps so all the littles rocks will hit your ankles.
They remove the rear breaks on all of them, so you only break with the front one and as you can imagine they are not aligned so every time you brake the ATV goes sideways, the rear tyres in two of them were worn unevenly so the right tire was slick and it would get stuck everywhere as it will slip.
Power chains came off 2 times in one of the bikes and steering bars were just not straight.
I cannot recommend this ATV tour to anyone. Probably if it is your first time you might think different. As a suggestion get the dirt bikes they are cheaper!!

Went to the volcano lava front today, we paid 2500php. each for a single ATV, the ATV trip is only 20-30 min long, and dosn't take you even near the volcano - we thought that we were gonna drive up the vulcano, to stop maybe in 5-700 meters, to see the 2009 lava front, as they talk about in the intro before you go, but instead you go to the 2006 lava front, which is a LOOOONG way from the vulcano itself.

From here we had to pay 50 php each, to come closer to the "old lava"... and after 10 min walk, 5 of them old lava rocks, we reached the Helipad. When going down again, you have the option to du it sipgliding from the lave front, back to where the guide from the tour company is waiting... But just before putting on our harness, our second guide (the lava front guide) tells us, that the sipgliding costs additional 300 php each...

Overall opinon: If you haven't been riding a ATV before, or sipgliding, this could be okay for you to try, but if you already tried both, i would recommend you to try the hike ON the vulcano, Instead of the, in total, 1.5 hour ATV drive far away from the vulcano...

Me and a group of friends booked with Your Brother and it was initially a good impression and we even got a discount on the 350cc atv ride. The rides were really old and worn out and the engine powering the atv ride made it really hot and tough to withstand. Fortunately, just before starting, my unit broke down and they gave me a newer one but it's only 150cc. This was clearly not as powerful but since it was newer it didn't overheat like the first one they gave me. The weather conditions started off really nice but we had a difficult time getting through the watery/rock-filled areas because of the capability of the atv unit. One of my friend's atv even had wheels with no grip anymore since they were so old.
Check thoroughly the units before you embark with Your Brother. They were really nice but the false advertising (giving us old units) is really off-putting.
The activity itself is fun and is a must when you're in the area but maybe consider a different company.

We choose the lava 2hr tour. Sure it was fun to drive a ATV (wich was all new and wellkept machines) but somethig was clearly lacking. the guide was helpful in taking alot of photos of the ride and sure it was a fun experience for the whole family. but rated at 4500 peros for the biggest ride you would expect more than was delivered. driving a mile on a lakebed and then walking to see a lavafield leaves one wondering if this was all... For the price I expect more of an adventure than this really. It DOES NOT live up to the advertisement

I did the Mt. Mayon Summit Trail along with 3 Japanese tourists. Before the trip, you will be given a short orientation and a practice course so that your guides will know your skills. Most of the time, if a Filipino guest joins a group of foreign tourists he or she is alienated and relegated to the sides as a passive guest but with Your Brother Travel, I wasn't able to feel any discrimination. The trail takes you to different areas surrounding Mt. Mayon; the riverside, the lava-front & helipad, and at the foot of Mayon Volcano where they have a mini garden. Your guides will also take postcard worthy pictures for Instagram or Facebook.
With the price, service could have been superb and seamless if the zipline fee is included, water and refreshments were included. Otherwise it was an experience worth remembering.
