We went here to see how the animals are doing. Some of them looks fine but some aren't. Hope a lot of people can visit more to help them. Not a lot of animals to see here. Lot of vacant spaces. To be honest I just felt bad after visiting. I feel bad for them. But I recommend that you still visit to help them.

One of our field trip destination is Residence Inn Mini Zoo in Tagaytay.
Scenery is good, they also have zip line but we are unable to try it because we lack the time.
Since it’s just a mini zoo, you can’t expect a lot of animals. We enjoyed walking around though I think it’s best to go there in the morning or late in the afternoon so it wouldn’t be so hot.
The best part of our tour is when our son get to play with the parakeet. He enjoyed it a lot we had to go in twice. 🐦🐥 He always wanted to touch a live parakeet and that day his dream came true. 💖
That really made our day. We’ll go back next time on our own so we wouldn’t be under any time constraints.

This place is the pure definition of animal cruelty. Tigers tied up in chains with less than 1 meter (3ft) free movement, birds in tiny cages, rabbits in dark cubicles, a camel in a space it can't turn around 360 degrees. All the cages were dirty, rusty, dark and the animals were clearly unhealthy and unhappy. I went because I thought I would find farm animals living in normal conditions but the fact that they have one of our most endangered species tied up in chains just says it all. Please do not support this type of business. I for one will report it to PETA and I can only dream the animals can be moved to a more caring and animal oriented location.

Given the entrance fee of PHP250, you’d expect that the animals are well taken care of. But the conditions of the animals are really TERRIBLE and DISTRESSING. They are all caged in a limited and dirty space. No room to move around and the monkeys are cooped up in small makeshift plywood boxes. All the animals are thin and miserable.
Upon entrance, they feature an 11-month old cub for photo op. Chained on a table away from its mother and natural habitat. That’s animal cruelty at its finest.
I didn’t mind paying for an exorbitant amount of ticket price thinking it was all worth it. But the experience was really heart-breaking for all those poor and forlorn animals.

This place is sad, rundown, dirty and the animals are kept in horrible conditions. The food available is poor. I cried when I saw how badly the animals are treated and kept. So inhumane! Their pens are tiny and dirty. They don't look well fed or groomed. The whole place is a sorry mess! I can't believe something like this is allowed to run! It makes Manila Zoo look like the Great Plains of Africa! Please don't go here cause you will be encouraging them to continue their animal cruelty!

The zoo keeps much to many animals considering the very limited space. While the reptiles, insects and birds are kept in almost acceptable cages, the keeping of the big cats is a disgrace. A lion alone should have a space equivalent to the whole zoo. Instead, lions and tigers are kept in boxes that I estimate at 6 sqm. Young tigers, snakes, owls and other predators are kept in the entrance area, so that visitors can touch them and take pictures of them. That's exactly how you should not treat animals. Even considering different standards for animal rights in different countries, and leaving the general purpose of maintaining zoos aside, zoos could at least contribute to teaching children something about respect for animals, which this Tagaytay zoo clearly doesn’t.

Zoos of this standard should be shut down. Went there out of curiosity. Caged Big Cats are the epitome of profit-at-all cost. Animals are in a sorry state. The only saving grace for the pitiful animals is the cool Tagaytay weather.

Too expensive to visit! Mean people who work at the zoo....they make stories for you to pay their dead animals like birds - a traumatic experience for my kids! I wouldn't go back to that zoo again, never again esp wth my kids....

We have experience to see animals inside the zoo. Close encounter with the birds, snake, and the lion. My kids enjoyed it a lot. Though it was raining hard because of the storm. Parking was not easy there are too many visitors during that time. There is also a korean barbecue restaurant inside the zoo.

You can take the Eton Exit towards Tagaytay. Once you hit the main road of Tagaytay, you turn right and keep following that road towards Batangas. It will be on your left side. I am not sure about their overnight rates. But definitely worthwhile even for the day!
