Apart from Masjid Baiturrahman, this mosque gives us a glimpse of its past. Remnants of fallen structures from tsunami 2004 left in one corner of the mosque as proof. Performing terawih prayer at Masjid Rahmatullah gave us the opportunity to remember those who perished. One...More

This mosque was being the only building that still standing when others building destroyed lampuuk village in Aceh. Nowdays, this building has been renovated and being a beautiful mosque and still leaving some broken construction to remember us the tragedy of tsunami.

One of the mosques that was left standing after the tsunami struck Aceh in 2004. Traces of tsunami were there in the mosque, to remind us of the its enormous strength. The stairs to the top survived the tsunami. The ocean view is no longer...More

The mosque for me is the very historic mosque with the ruin pillars were left intact as the remembrance of the tsunami. The other part were renovated with the funder from the Turkish government.
