It's the line of equator. If you bring GPS. It will show you zero degrees Coordinate. It's a historical place. There is a small museum inside that place.

Equator monument is an icon of Pontianak, it has a small museum on there, it's good if you visited there at the evening 5-6pm, to get there, you can use go-jek or grab (online transportation)

Twice a year The Equator will be in its Ekinox. In March 23 and. September 23. Where the Sun is RIGHT ABOVE our Head straight.

Around 40 minutes driving from centre pontianak where you can learnt about the equator line, quite informative guide inside the monument. Good place for children as the yard is quite spacious...where you can rent bicycles , tricycles from 10k per lap. You can also found...More

To have come altogether with a group of central javanese students, so we can also hear the guide explaining everything important. The display are also sufficient, lots of educating material. We just loved the place!

Lots of improvements have been done for this monument, adding more facilities. However the management should maintain the quality of the existing facilities such as the ampitheatre more properly. Trash is still a problem if you go around the surroundings. Many things can still be...More
