The mosque is named under sultan. It is situated along the kapuas river and surrounded with keraton, villages, jetties, and market place. The mosque is the traditional design using timbers. The imam recites the quran with good recital. It is full during the jumaat prayer.

I returned to the area just to ensure that I took time to observe and admire the mosque. The cleanliness around it must be maintained. More written information both in local language and English are needed.

this is the most beautifull mosque in West Kalimantan. have a good view and architecture. The architecture stiil like etnic architecture not like most in Indonesia.

I was more interested in the locals activity. The forecourt was being landscaped so didnt go into Mosque. Great place to see the kids swimming in the river and the fisherman catching their catch.

This is one of the landmarks in Pontianak. Jami Mosque, Masjid Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman Alkadry is the oldest Mosques in West Kalimantan. It was build in 1771 by the sultan of Pontianak, Sultal Syarif Abdurrahman Alqady.
