Visited as part of a tour group. Sorry but not the cleanest of places to visit......felt sorry for the elephant that was tied up and had to pose for photos. Local people use it for ritual bathing, washing clothes, saying farewell to departed loved ones........and...More

Maa cauvery can be worshipped at this place . Abisekam water is taken for the lord from this place. Tharpanam for pitrus can be offered here .

The river cauvery is beautiful and serene. People have spoiled the ammamandapam ghat by taking bath in the water using soap, shampoos, washing clothes etc. I would advise people not to visit this place for taking bath in cauvery.

This is a place where devotees take a bath before going to worship at Ranganatha Temple. Having heard about the condition we went there just to have a look. The maintenance is poor. Be careful if you intend bathing

I wanted to visit the river post Sep 2017 pushkaras for getting blessings for my family. Unfortunately there was no water in the river. It was very dirty. Lot of poor people around who did all 'daily chores' inside the river. It was really stinking....More

Went recently for bath during holy Cauvery River Pushkaralu. Very poor maitainence and planning. Be careful as steps are not proper.

Unlike Kashi (Varanasi), this place is a Ghat for last riots, bathing (and not for burning or burying bodies). It is a firm belief that if a puja is done here (Shrarth), here the offerings reach those relatives in heavenly abode..

This amma mandapam bathing ghats is the place situated on the banks of river cauvery, cleanly maintained, this bathing steps is the place where the pilgrims take a holy dip in the river Cauvery. A must see place for one and all.
