Tried for 3 days to contact this company with telephone email and WhatsApp. I am not sure if they are closed or ?
It seems a lot of tourist focused businesses in kisumu still haven’t recovered from the shut downs over the last few years :(

I did the City Tour for KES 4.000,- in Kisumu. I really enjoyed it. Uncomplicated booking and a nice ride through the city on a mountain bike - which was the perfect bike for Kisumu. Joab, the guide, explained a lot about Kisumu and the development. Would book it again!

I came to Kisumu to visit my son who is an avid mountain bike rider. He did a little research and found Bikeventures, as an option for me to rent a mountain bike.
When we got to Bikeventures it was explained that the rentals usually went with a tour group, as they’d lost some bikes by patrons not returning their rentals. So I suggested I could put a security deposit-problem solved! The mountain bikes, though medium/entry level were clean, relatively new, and fully functional. Better than many other places I’ve rented. And Very reasonably priced. Nice people, highly recommend!

Very professional tour organisers for ndere island and Mt elgon. I just made inquiry and their offer was very affordable, their knowledge of Kisumu and its surrounding makes you feel like a local. They can show difficult things to approach as a foreigner. Very dedicated to their task with a good nature friendly perpective. I would recommend their services if you are tired of tourist blood suckers

We've done a few tours with Bikeventures (Ndere Island, Masai Mara, Kakamega Forest) and they have all been great! Lovely people, lots of fun. Everything is arranged, so you can just enjoy.

Enjoyed VERY active biking and hiking trip to Mt Elgon. Price was very reasonable, included round trip transport, bike rental, 1 night lodging in Mt Elgon NP, park fees, 1 night lodging in Kitale and all food and drinks. Julie, Dan and the others did a good job with logistics although there were a few delays in the very full itinerary. It was their first time organizing this trip, and they were very flexible to adapt the itinerary to accommodate our needs as well as unexpected events. Would definitely consider joining another of their trips!

Taking a tour with Bikeventures should be required for all visitors to Kisumu! It is without doubt the best way to really see the city - my city tour took in the market, the city centre, abandoned railway, the port, the fishing village, and finished with a boat ride on Lake Victoria. Julie was fantastic organising my tour, and Johnston was a fantastic guide. The bikes are excellent, and perfect for the often rugged terrain. They also really look after you, providing helmets, water, and snacks. An exhausting but excellent experience - thank you!

We spent an amazing, action-packed day with the guys from Bikeventures. We don't often book tours, since we enjoy exploring independently and shy away from anything too touristy, but we were so glad that we did this one. The main event of the day was a visit to the nearby fishing village, where the locals were super welcoming and happy to show us around and answer our endless questions. We enjoyed a great boat tour during which we spotted more than a few hippos, and we spent a few hours wandering around learning about village life. Probably the highlight of the day was lunch, during which we helped some very talented local chefs to prepare fresh fish from the lake (and we learned to make our own ugali!). Afterwards, we cycled back to town (which was a bit of a challenge with full stomachs) and saw a couple of the lesser-known sights. Overall, a great experience.

Bikeventures probably have the best bikes in Kenya. We would highly recommend booking a tour with them. We did the Kisumu City tour with our guide Dan who did a fantastic job showing us around the city and getting us involved with locals. We had a great day exploring the old railway station, the harbour, the Kisumu Museum, the busy market, the trash dumpsite (personal highlight!) and called it a day at dunga hill with a lovely view over lake victoria sipping on a mango juice. Dan was fantastic company and totally flexible in terms of our needs, cycling tempo and tour destinations. He is definitely a huge asset to bikeventures.

Bikeventures offers many tours around Kisumu. I went on the Kisumu Nature Tour which was just brilliant. We went to a fishing village, got to spot some Hippos and even went to see the city! I can highly recommend to book a tour there!
