We are a family of 4, me, my wife and our 2 boys (6 and 8 years old). We booked a safari trip 10 days with Imela Wilderness. The company gave us the best service from the most comfortable tent with a luxury feeling but well within our budget to the most exquisite meals prepared freshly on site by their Chef. The itinerary was well planned to cover the best destination in Botswana including the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game reserve, Makgadikgadi National Park, Nxai National Park, Tsodilo Hills, Central Kalahari Game Reserve and Khama Rhino Sanctuary. It was surely a fun filled trip as their staff and their guide gave us the best warm welcome, from being picked up from the airport by Levious to ultimately traversing through the parks of Botswana. The good thing about the trip was that at first we had the anxiety of travelling with the kids especially to Africa but we even regret doubting them in the first place after the amazing experience and service. As for wildlife, it was really amazing as we saw all the big five in Moremi and Okavango including the elusive leopard. We just wished we could add more days into this safari!

Whenever we come to Botswana we will surely book with Imela Wilderness and we highly recommend them for anyone out there!

The staff, including the guide were just amazing. We did a 6 nights camping safari in Botswana with Imela Wilderness as part of our team building initiative and establishing our business in Botswana. We did 2 nights in Nxai National Park including an amazing day trip to Baines Baobab, 2 nights in Central Kalahari Game Reserve and 2 nights in Khama Rhino Sanctuary and despite it being a short trip (atleast we felt we could increase the number of days), we got an opportunity to explore the destinations and saw different animals including the black mained lions of the Kalahari, the rhinos in Khama Rhino and the unique elephants of Nxai. Giraffes, wildebeests , zebra, ostriches and jackals were amazing. InNxai we were interested in birds and we saw several, some of which i forgot their names. I definately remember see some vultures and the khori bustard (not sure of spelling). It was great indeed and we were surprised to learn that the elephants of Nxai only wash half of their bodies in order to save water. Thank you so much to our Guide Gibson. Whenever i come to Botswana whether on work or on holiday, i will definately book with Imela Wilderness. Our guide even recommended that next time we should add Okavango Delta, Tsodilo Hills, Moremi Game Reserve and Savute/Chobe National Park as part of our destinations in order to interact more with the animals. It was short trip but worth doing again.

We embarked on a trip with Imela wilderness together with our three children, with the trip starting from Kasane and ending in Nata Bird Sanctuary. Originally we are from Germany by descent and had recently relocated to Botswana, Kasane. Seeing that we love nature, we decided to engage Imela Wilderness on a 17 days Safari to get to know Botswana and its tourist attraction destinations. We had a really wonderful mobile safari. An experience worth repeating. From the destinations which included Okavango Delta, Makgadikgadi Park, Moremi Game Reserve, Chobe, Linyanti, Khwai, Savuti and CKGR, we had an upclose encounter with almost all the animals in the country, from the big five to the ugly 5! Most interesting was our experience with the bushman in Makgadikgadi and CKGR. Truly amazing experience with the best company, serving us well prepared fresh food though we were constantly harrassed by a lone Jackal in Nxai Park, spacious tents and a well experienced guide who really explained everything in detail to us. We also enjoyed the activities that were part of the itinerary at a very reasonable price such as boat cruies in Kasane, mokoro in Okavango Delta, bush picnics, game drives and star gazing in the middle of nowhere!

Imela Wilderness thank you for the experience.

This was a great way to experience one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world, a quintessential African sound, and wilderness paradise with a great game viewing in Chobe, Savuti and Moremi. We explored one of the best places from where to view the Botswana Salt Pans – the Nata Sanctuary with a massive viewing deck ensuring the most amazing vantage points. This is an astonishing place to stop and view the wildlife when you are on your Botswana Safari especially with Imela Wilderness. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of the enormous flocks of flamingos and other water birds, including pelicans; gather on the newly formed lakes. At the Okavango Delta, we explored the waterways in a traditional dugout canoe (mokoro) in Okavango delta, one of the best ways to get intimate with the delta. How can we forget how we diversified our safari by incorporating photographic safari experience with other activities such as boat cruises in Chobe River. Imela Wilderness is indeed the best, from wining and dining to having the best guide (Romeo) with the best 4x4 skills I have ever seen, this company is indeed worth booking with for your next safari.

We did a mobile safari tour with Imela Wilderness during the green season. It was the six of us, and had an amazing experience.

Our trip covered several areas like Tsodilo Hills, Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai, Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. It was such a wonderful trip with the Manager Pepe having accompanied us together with our guide RB.

It was the trip to die for as we saw amazing wildlife all the trip long. The food was amazing, how csn i forget the freshly baked cookies we had. Chef Mpho really did well with her cooking complimented by drinos on board.

The trip was only 12 days but we wished it could have been more as we could just not get enough of the experience. Thank you a lot Imela Wilderness team

We did a day trip to Moremi Game Reserve with Imela Wilderness. The service was just out of this. We left Gaborone by flight to Maun where they collected us from the airport to our hotel. We were informed that our day trip will start at 0600hrs and at exactly 0545 hours our guide was already waiting for us at the hotel. It was a 2 hours drive to Moremi. The guide, Gibson was really good and his 4x4 driving skills were out of this world. We had our breakfast upon arrival, did a moring game drive until around 1200 hrs, then had our packed lunch which was really nice. Drinks were also on board and we had an opportunities to see elephants, baboons, buffalo, a lion pride, giraffes, zebra and a lot of other animals and birds. It really felt like a little heaven on earth and just wished the trip could not end. The day went by so quick. We returned back to Maun at around 1600 hrs.
