In July & August we (2 adults and a 7-year-old boy) had a marvelous time in Botswana and Zimbabwe thanks to the great effort and expertise of Kalahari Breeze Safaris! Maria and Chris aligned with us during many weeks before the trip started to get the itinerary we were looking for. Please note that especially Botswana is quite exclusive and busy during their high season (July – October). This has much to do with the remoteness of the locations, the availability of roads and the lack of mass tourism. In return we got the trip of a lifetime! Kalahari Breeze Safaris made suggestions on our wishes and also managed our expectations well on travelling circumstances. Eventually we did wild camping in Moremi, stayed in a wonderful location in the Okavango Delta, had the time of our lives in the beautiful Savute area, and visited the unforgettable Victor Falls. The kindness of the people we met is unmatchable. If you ever dreamed of visiting the real Africa please consult Kalahari Breeze Safaris!

We went on a custom 5 day Chobe & Victoria Falls Safari. Booking this with Kahlahari Breeze was seamless. We had reached out to them, gave them the list of places we were thinking of going (Chobe National park and victoria falls), our budget for the entire trip, and duration. Maria replies promptly with full details and gave us great suggestions based on our preferences. As this was our first time in Africa we weren’t sure what to expect.
The accommodations were amazing, food incredible, and excellent game drives, boating drives, and a sunset cruise.
Everything was taken care of - all we had to do was show up! We will definitely be booking with them for all future visits. Highly recommend. If you don’t see something exact to your requirements, I recommend reaching out to them and having a conversation!

We just got back from our customized two-week safari booked through Kalahari Breeze Safaris and cannot stop raving about it! Even before we left, Kalahari Breeze Safaris carefully & promptly responded to every one of my (many) questions & helped design an itinerary that was just what I wanted. The camps they suggested were top notch and exceeded my expectations. Really everything was seamless, from the camps, activities, and transfers between camps (and KBS provided special touches during our stay that went above and beyond and made us feel very special). Although a safari was on my bucket list, my husband was just along for the ride, but after the first camp, he was as impressed as I was with the entire safari experience. In fact, I just asked him what he would say in a review about KBS and our trip, and he told me "it was perfect!" (and he is very particular, so this is not his normal comment at all). I would book with Kalahari Breeze Safaris again without hesitation if returning to Botswana - Top notch & one of the best trips I have ever been on!

Great Botswana with Kalahari Breeze Safaris
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Botswana.
We booked the tour with Kalahari Breeze Safaris Agency in Maun
Mrs Maria organized a wild camping trip in the Okavango Delta
The camping site is wonderful; the ranger Mr Master proved to be very knowledgeable during the game drivers and we had the opportunity to see many animals in a fantastic environment to say the least. The experience with the small boat (mokoro) on the canals of the delta is unforgettable. The camp staff - Mr Machana, Mr Richard and the cook Mr Chicho organized our entire stay in the wild camping impeccably.
Subsequently, Mrs Maria organized a two-day safari in the Chobe River Park.
The game safaris led by Ranger Sam and the boat safari led by Ranger David will never be forgotten by all of us.
In Kasane we stayed in a lodge that was not luxury but very clean, with a good menu and a wonderful garden.
Thank you Mrs Maria..It was not just a holiday but a life experience

As a solo woman this was a fantastic way to travel, as I joined an existing group of two for the camping part of it, then travelled solo onto Kasane (Chobi National Park) and Victoria Falls where I stayed in hotels. Maria tailored the trip to meet my requirements and was efficient and courteous in answering my questions. The highlight for me was the camping as it is the best way to get up close with animals, but you must be prepared to 'rough it' a bit - camp bed and en-suite long drop toilet and bush shower (with hot water) - but all comfortable. The elephants came to us one night - I looked out my tent window and all I could see was elephant. The guide was dedicated in seeking out the animals and the three camp staff were efficient and friendly. The first night I slept on a mattress in the open at the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans - wow, what stars. Then two nights camping at a mobile camp in the Okavango Delta, a night R&R in Maun, then three nights camping in Moremi Game Reserve. The number and variety of animals and birds sighted exceeded my expectations. My favourite sighting was the pride of three lionesses with their eight cubs.

This was an epic trip to celebrate my niece graduating from college. "Life” was very professional and made sure we were safe at all times. We saw baboons, elephants, hippos, monkeys, impalas, crocodiles, buffaloes, a variety of birds and even a live lion's kill. The refreshments and lunch provided was delicious. I am amazed at "Life's" vision. “Life” was able to see things that we did not and I was impressed by his "eyes". This Full day game drive was a fabulous way to start our adventure in Chobe National Park!

This company is absolutely wonderful and delivers exactly what they promise and some… our 8 days with them was truely amazing.
Having travelled to over 100 countries we always try and find companies that are locally owned and employ local people.. and Kalahari Breeze does this to an amazing degree. This not only adds to the experiences but also ensues an authentic trip. There is also something good about supporting local communities.
Botswana is an amazing country with too many highlights to list…. Our top 3 would be seeing Meerkats, sleeping on a salt pan and camping in the depths of the Okavango Delta.
We can’t recommend this company enough/great communication, professional and very much value for money.

We opted for a bespoke 6 day tour. We started at Maun and did 2 days wild camping in Moremi, two days in Khwai at a lodge and two days on a houseboat in Seronga.
Maria from Kalahari Breeze was amazing. She was prompt with all correspondence and made some brilliant suggestions for our itinerary.
The wild camping was amazing. A team prepared our food and our tents. We saw amazing wildlife, especially lions, and wonderful sunsets. Tsidi the driver and Ronnie the mechanic were awesome. For this part od the journey we were a group of 8. We then had two days at Moremi O Bona Lodge which was out of this world. Mocks our guide managed to track us leopards and wild dogs as well as the wonderful other sightings. The whole team here made us so welcomed and they cared for us well. From here we flew to Seronga where Cpt Sam and Jonah welcomed us and we tried mokuru, bird watching and fishing. And from there back to Maun. None of this would have been possible without Kalahari Breeze. They made our trip unforgettable.

An amazing holiday organised by Maria. We were picked up from Maun Airport taken to a lodge just outside Maun, next morning Clifford picked us up and Chris checked we were ok, Camping in Moremi and Okvango Delta with Master was outstanding, the camp staff brilliant. We then returned to Maun where Chris and Maria came to see us. Then onto Chobe and Victoria Falls all organised by Maria with fantastic accommodation and activities. If you are thinking of a safari in Botswana then I would highly recommend you talk to Maria.

We had a ten day trip planned for Botswana and Zimbabwe. From the start, Maria and Chris was very professional and attentive. We had great time in Maun, Chobe and Victoria Falls. All the places we stayed were top notch. The tour guides were very informative and caring. Transfers between different cities were very easy. Even though we had an issue with one of our day trips, Chris and Maria were very understanding to sort it out.

Hi, I'm wanting to book a tour with Kalahari Breeze Safaris but they're asking me for a copy of my passport for the booking process. They have great ratings on TripAdvisor, but I'm very wary of handing over my passport information. What was your experience with the booking process and did you provide them with your passports before you traveled to Africa?

Jambo Srwheele, Apologies for the delayed reply I have been working overseas for the last month with limited internet. However we found Kalahari Breeze Safaris very open, approachable and reliable and yes we did provide passport copies when booking. Though I totally understand your healthy caution as it is always best to confirm who you are dealing with is who they say they are. Therefore might I suggest a video Skype/WhatsApp chat with the business owners beforehand to allay any concerns you may have going to Africa ? I suspect this may be your first visit here ? As for me it is my motherland and our perceptions, norms and expectations may naturally differ. Though I have a suspicion you have a life affirming visit ahead of you ! Best Wishes !
