Impressive and incredible as everything we witnessed in El Chalten.
Scene from another world, immeasurable beauty of leaving anyone without words.
Short trail, ideal in the first contact with the region, there from above it is possible to observe the whole city, the River Valley De Las Vueltas and the majestic Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro tower in the Andes mountain range.
I recommend that you do it in the morning before sunrise and witness the mountain range being painted red to the average that goes dawn.
Indescribable.

It is located very close to the town. Going south, crossing the bridge about 300 meters away, you will find the Visitor Center, where there is a small museum and employees who inform whoever asks about the places to visit, location, ways to get there and everything you ask. There are bathrooms there that are very useful to use before starting the ascent to the viewpoint.
It is a km uphill, in some parts slight and in others somewhat steep.
My husband and I, who are over 60, were able to do it without problems. We got a little tired but it wasn't that difficult. The view from above is great. You can see the entire town, the 2 rivers and the mountains around. We had a cloudy day with occasional drizzles so I suppose the view could have been much better but it was still very nice.
We saw several condors flying over the area. We didn't go to the Mirador de las Aguilas which is 1 km from the other viewpoint because we were already a little tired.
It is a highly recommended walk to do in half a day.

The first part of the climb is uphill and takes a little bit of effort and breaks if required, you can get to the top and it is definitely worth it. The condores viewpoint provides one of the best views of the town and mountains - great spot for photos and would be an amazing viewpoint for sunrise photos.
It is pretty windy once you get there and you need to be careful of your items as they can easily fly (including your cellphone)
One of the best viewpoints in El chalten with amazing views of the town, the mountains, cerro fitz roy peaks. Have to definitely stop here when in El Chalten

I thought that the condors viewpoint was a poetically beautiful name for a trekking site in El Chaltén. Well, I'm very glad I was wrong. Because it is real, after a very pleasant uphill trekking path we arrived at a green and rocky place where we saw a flock of condors flying overhead in a majestic spectacle.
The truth is that I don't know if the condor is a native Argentine species. But it was a nice privilege to be in such a pleasant natural environment where below you see the city of El Chaltén like a postcard effect and above a kind of welcoming baptism of those majestic birds that are in danger of preservation.
Highly recommended excursion!

I regretted not having stayed more days in El Chaltén, it's impressive! The Mirador is a quieter and easier way to see the city and, mostly, the Fitz Roy from above. It requires a slight preparation, you can go in your time, with a light walk, but the climb is well worth it!

The trail is very pleasant, it has a considerable climb but it can be done calmly, it can still be reached in less than half an hour in peace.
On the way up there are already very good views of Chaltén and the hills (Fitz Roy, Torre, etc.). There are explanatory signs about the condors.
The viewpoint itself is beautiful and has the best views. We didn't see condors, but it must be quite common to see them because the day before, on the rafting trip, we saw one in that area.
We followed the path to the Eagles viewpoint for another twenty minutes, the path was much calmer, almost without a climb, but the viewpoint is not as imposing, it has a better view of Lake Viedma.
The descent is much faster and has only a couple of slippery spots.

The walk up to Cóndores viewpoint is short and easy - with the direct result that it is quite popular. From there, on a clear day, you get views on the Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre and the valley with El Chaltén.
If you continue until Águilas viewpoint (30 minutes more, turning right at the intersection before Cóndores), you get views of Viedma lake and Cerro Huemul. You can also loop back over the hill via Cóndores viewpoint.

After Laguna de los tres this is a walk in the park! Steep uphill but flat and very easy. Knocked one star off for being full of rude people otherwise great views of town and amazing to see the condors so close. About 13 of them flying around it was amazing to see.
For a longer walk take the path at the top to the otherwise for nice views too

Really lovely place off the main drag.
8 cabins to stay....we would had we known. Isolated as 25k from town on a gravel road but food was delicious and accommodation looked amazing. Short walk to the "beach" on the milky river to see Fitzroy/El Chalten was lovely and blessed by being in the sun and out of the wind....
Would stay here if we were back.

We took a day trip from El Calafate to El Chaltén. We made the climb to El Mirador de Los Condores. An easy trail to do for those who are used to walking, an unbelievable wind! But the view from up there is fantastic.

If sunrise for El Chalten is 5:50, when will sun light up Fitz Roy?
