We went to Barmouth for the day from Harlech.. That's where we where staying the last week of August. We walked in the shop brought some rock, but a lovely little shop with a lot of gifts to buy. Friendly staff very helpful and kind. Walking around looking at the history there was very interesting. And looking at the lifeboat it self. You forget how big they really are. And to thing sometimes it goes out to sea to rescue people. I was most impressed with it all here I enjoyed it, thank you for your hard work. We do support life boats every month.

Whenever my family and I go anywhere on the coast we always seek out RNLI places as we love to support them! There was a mini museum which was very interesting and lots of souvenirs to choose from in shop. Slightly inconvenient (and a health and safety hazard) that some of the information boards in museum are on the stairs? I had to make a sacrifice and not read those ones as I didnt want to risk my life by reading them whilst balancing on the stairs. Apart from that though we loved this place.

Hubby and me re-visited here yesterday (Wednesday). We made a specific journey to see the new £2.2 million shannon class lifeboat named Ella Larsen. Because she is propelled by water jets, it's faster and more manoeuvrable. The volunteers at this station have been presented with 13 bravery awards. They rely on our donations to keep up their good work.

Wonderful operation run by WONDERFUL volunteers. Very busy station well worth supporting by a visit to see how they Save Lives At Sea. Best to check by a quick phone call before hand to make certain that the shop will be open for you and your support but during the opening hours you can chat to any crew present and look at their boats and launch/recovery equipment. Many thanks to June and Peter Davies and Rob Williams who made our visit 100%. Of course our total thanks to all members of the Crew and Management (who were elsewhere probably doing their everyday work!)

On a warm and windy Wednesday, me and Hubby visited here (again) - we are avid supporters of this charity. We saw the large "relief" lifeboat (their own is having some maintenance work carried out on it) and also the smaller in-shore inflatable boat. We then went into the adjoining gift shop. We walked upstairs first and looked along the gallery which is like a mini museum. Afterwards we went back downstairs and chatted to a retired Coxwain. He was quite a character. He didn't think he was a hero even though he had saved over a 100 lives at sea! The lovely lady volunteer behind the counter was very friendly and welcoming. We purchased a yellow welly aerial topper for the car and some Xmas cards. The bill came to £4.50 which Hubby was able to pay by bank card (contactless). PLEASE please make a purchase or give a donation to support these brave volunteers.
