Although the island still has so much damage the bar is open and the planes are coming in. However the number of bigger jets coming in is greatly reduced. Coming from Philipsburg you can see all kinds of damage especially all the expensive hatch’s and...More

Enjoy your favorite bite to eat and refreshing drink while watching the planes land and takeoff from Princess Julianne Airport. This is the ideal spot to see all the action.

Sunset was recently completely redone. The location is huge with a swimming pool, shops, and ocean view. The bar area is very nice. This is pretty much a tourist location, so I do not go there often. I went one night that they were raffling...More

We visited Maho Beach when our cruise ship stopped in St Marten for the day. We found a nice table at Sunset Bar & Grill just a few feet from the beach, had lunch, a few drinks, and watched planes land. It’s really a cool...More

The Sunset Bar is your typical bar located on an island beach front .. The view of the beach at the airport runway is what makes this different.. The food was good but the service is quick and not very attentive. If you are going...More

While on a cruise we docked in St. Maarten and my family had booked a shore excursion to Maho Beach and had lunch at the Sunset Bar & Grill. It's a beautiful location right on the water. Unfortunately due to the hurricane, the lack of...More

The Icon is up and running. Great casual atmosphere. Swimsuits, beers and great food. Open air seating, friendly staff, great service. Love this place. Of course, watch the planes.

Enjoyed a nice lunch and refreshment. Free WiFi that worked great. Pleasant staff. Not as many large aircraft coming and going as in day past. Many nearby hotels still destroyed. Still worth the ride over from the cruise port.

Great place to watch the planes take off and land. We didn't get to see too many big jets, but still a great experience.

If you are in Saint Martin and enjoy anything more than crochet, then go here. It’s wrong to spend time in the island and not enjoy this venue. The wait staff is more than friendly. The views and setting is wonderful. Go and enjoy!!

We took a cab and the driver picked us up when we were ready to return. It was easy, but I don't remember the cost.

No, this is not within walking distance. You could most likely arrange an excursion through the cruise line, or take a taxi from the port. It's about 30min ride by car depending on traffic.
