Very quaint - just seemed so strange seeing this little shabby hut standing alone in the middle of the green. But when you stepped inside it was full of interesting facts and stories.

It was packed with art but so small would not go out of way to visit, it was on the route we were walking and came across it.

I paid a visit to Alnmouth in February 2018 and took in The Ferryman's Hut - a great piece of innovation to put this century old hut into a practical use. Praise due to those who arranged the displays of paintings, drawings, maps and other...More

A step out of the cold into this hut and you realise you have stepped into the tiniest museum. A quaint little find that is definitely worth a look.

Can probably only hold 3 or 4 people at a time but was interesting to read the history and all the little bits and pieces. A lovely little stop off close to the beach.

I would not rush to view this so called museum - it is a hut with a few posters on the wall and a great view across the River Aln.

Novelty or not, the location is lovely, looking across the harbour to Church Hill, the bench with Tennyson quote is charming, and the past it memorialises is worth remembering.
