We walked on The Cobb yesterday and got splashed by a large wave - it was really most enjoyable. I particularly love the wide range of paving materials which show the ravages of me.

One has to stand out there doing the French Lieutenant's Woman stare, whilst the other takes the great photo, Then you have have puzzle over how the whole thing works and has protected the Harbour. Then you just stand together and it is romantic and...More

We spent a lovely few hours wondering around The Cobb, our son loved running around on the beach and we walked along the beachfront with chips. Despite being very chilly, it was a lovely few hours for the family.

The Cobb at Lyme Regis is a must see iconic landmark. Walk this historic harbour wall and recreate the scene where the character of Meryl Streep in the French Lieutenants Woman stands at the end of the Cobb looking out to sea.

We visited in Autumn & were taken by this unusual harbour with its anchor & canon, as well as its theatre right on the waterfront. Definitely worth the detour to see, if only to picture Meryl Streep in The French Lieutenant's Woman!

Lyme Cobb is a lovely harbour any time of year. In summer it is full of bustle but off season it is quiet and reflective. The views out to the cliffs are marvelous and the working fishing boats a reminder of a busy harbour. There...More

Great place to saunter or sit and watch the world go by. Walk to the end of the harbour arm for a selfie and look at the fishing and other boats and visit the aquarium.

We visited Lyme on a clear, sunny but cold day. The walk on The Cobb was a lovely way to see the vista of Lyme Bay. A beautiful rainbow frames the town. lots of fishing boats and activity going on.
