Moving experience
Oct 2020
We had never visited a national cemetery before and this was such a moving experience to see so many headstones so perfectly situated in row after row. We did not know anyone buried here but the experience still gives you such a sense of overwhelming thanks for all that these people did for our country.

Peacefully quiet

So many laid in reat. Row upon row of white marble headstones. So many Civil War unknowns. Well taken care of grounds. It was an honor to visit.

Beautiful
Feb 2020 • Family
This is a wonderful place to visit if you are at all interested in history and appreciate the aesthetics of all of the pretty white headstones neatly lined up, rows and rows and go on and on. It’s a really cool site to see and the additional information to read along the way brings some of its history to life.

A somber experience, but beautiful.

Another site for history enthusiasts, this cemetery is home to soldiers who fought as far back as the Revolutionary War.

Honoring The Sacrifice Of Those In Arkansas
May 2019 • Couples
Like the national cemeteries we have visited previously (Arlington, Beaufort, and Sarasota), Fayetteville National Cemetery has its own unique and solemn beauty. There is no more humbling experience than to visit a place like this, where so many who have served our country share their final resting place. Each stone represents a unique story in our nation’s history, and we should always remember them with honor and gratitude.

Military rites done right!
Feb 2019 • Friends
We came early to a funeral to have time to walk the Cemetery. Recommend that to everyone. Even in winter with no leaves on the lovely big trees throughout, the scene is one of peace. The funeral itself was moving with military guard presenting the colors, gun salute, and taps. Such a memorable way to honor all those, known and unknown, who rest here. Parking is limited, but staff very willing to assist.

Pay your respects
Aug 2018 • Solo
I try to visit each one to pay respects to those that fought for our freedom. It is always overwhelming seeing all the graves and sacrifice...Nike should probably take a look.

A well maintained national cemetery
Nov 2017 • Family
The cemetery is, as are most of the national ones, well kept and beautiful. There isn't much to see except the stark white stones aligned perfectly across the rich green grassy hills. Unless you are looking for a specific gravesite, there just isn't much else to see or do once you are there. It is simply a very nice national cemetery for our deserving veterans and some of the spouses.
