We spent three days in San Marcos and two of those days we went to the reserve. The swimming is beautiful and peaceful with lots of different spots to choose from so you can find some privacy. The little walking trails are fun to explore...More

Visited Cerro Tzankujil with friends for the afternoon. Really cool spot with miradors you can jump off into the lake and some short walks. Worth a visit whilst in San Marcos.

Most tourists visit this nature park so they can jump off into the lake. There is more! Original Mayan altars used for centuries, are being revitalized with the cooperation of the Mayor of San Marocs and the help of Mayan Daykeeper, Mark Elmy. These altars...More

It is a nice nature place, yet there is a problem at the entrance: they first informed us that only children under the age of 5 are free - then, after they realized that we had two that’s were under the age of 5 they...More

If you go looking for a nature reserve, you will not find it. It is more of a path on a hill. The views were nice as anywhere around the lake, the “trampoline” was fun but more of a jump from a firm platform.

The park itself is OK, well maintained with a decent view from the top of the hill. The big draw however, is as a swimming spot, which is absolutely worth the small entrance fee. Sit on the rocks on the waters edge, or jump off...More

A great place to jump into the lake, go swimming or rent Kayack's. Climb the hill to the Mayan Altar. Relax in the sun or in the shade. You can spend 1 hour here, or all day.
