It's free, it's a gate. Not sure I'd recommend someone go out of their way to visit this, but if you're passing and want to tick it off a list of things to see, then go for it!

Simple entrance to a area worth the time and effort to visit. The gate itself was probably grand at some point but now a bit neglected and quite dirty. Sign if’s to to mark the entrance to Patan a lovely part of Katmandu.

This place shows the historic importance of monuments. It consists of multiple arts representation cultural and traditional background of that particular area with its own historic identity and significance. Gate also shows the primitive design concept and art of thinking.

This was one of the most iconic place in Patan but now its nothing more than a big gate which looks old and dirty. I think Nepal Government needs to wake up and do something about it. And there are too many street vendors around.

The historic gate marks the starting point of Patan. An arched gate that is of historic significance. However, there is a bus stop nearby which makes this place easily accessible from Kathmandu.

It is a gate from where Patan city begins, something that you might pass on your way. One can stop to click a photograph though there is nothing else.
