We recently hosted a graduation party at the pavilion at the park and found it to be very accessible, inexpensive and very shaded. We had a great time, with plenty of space and even set up some games there. The only problem at all was...More

This park has picnic sites, hiking and biking trails, a boat launch on the Arkansas River, and historic markers/informational displays. We've seen several weddings, a church service, renovation projects, and passing barges at this site. There are occasional re-enactments, but they are not widely advertised....More

This is a great spot for a short hike, so maybe not a place for the extreme hiker. If you like biking on trails too, this is a lovely, close to home spot to practice given that some of the trails are made specifically for...More

This Park is beautiful and has a rich history to go along with the natural beauty. The park is situated along the Arkansas River. Since it is designed as a trail of tears route, many historical markers are located in the Park. In addition, the...More

Beautiful area and the scenery is nice but the area is not kept up and the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and downright creepy. (And we camp often so I understand rustic bathrooms)

This is a great place for families to learn some history and get into nature. The park is well maintained and in recent times local law enforcement agencies have focused efforts to keep unsavory characters from causing any unwanted distractions to your family's outing. The...More
