I went here with my son. It’s a smaller park than some of the others. The area around it is very nice although parking is tough. It’s a nice place to see a game.

Wonderful staff at the stadium. We parked in a lot just across the street. We had a great time watching the Giants in Spring Training.

The stadium was pretty awesome. And the Giants players sign a lot for the kids which is nice. Parking was rough. Other than that zero complaints, and a great place to see a game.

Watched Pac-12 tournament here in May & thankfully they didn't check tickets or we'd have cooked! There's little shade except for up top behind home plate; watching from the grass seemed nice, but we didn't do that. In the afternoon, the 3rd base side gets shade first. They had misters up that helped w/the heat. Concessions weren't great - you had your typical things at a baseball stadium but no healthy or unusual options.

This stadium is the most uncomfortable of all of the Spring training facilities in the greater Phoenix area. Parking is far and a challenge. They charge higher for games here during Spring Training. There is not much shade and the field is not visible from the concession concourse. We did go for the PAC tournament and everyone jammed under the small roof area because it was 103 degrees that day. Did not get that relaxed feel I usually get at a ballpark while enjoying a game.

There is not a bad seat in the house. However, I wish they had charcoal broiled hotdogs instead of the roller dogs.

First time here for a spring training game, what a great venue! The stadium was clean and well staffed in the stands, around the stadium and at the concessions. No on-site parking, but relatively close. Close to Old Town Scottsdale.

We have been here a couple of times and the parking is impossible, unless you want to walk a good distance. The parking before game time is not well marked. This time we tried to go for Arizona Fall League baseball. This is our least favorite stadium of the many in the area.

We came for Spring Training, the stadium is across the street from Talking Stick resort but you need to get a Taxi or Uber to get over the freeway. Quick to get in, plenty of places to eat. We were able to find our seats quickly and had a good view of the game. Plenty of food and drinks for sale all over the place.

Scottsdale continues to tweak and upgrade Scottsdale Stadium to keep the San Francisco Giants happy enough to keep it as their Spring Training Facility. The stadium is an "old style" stadium with plenty of modern amenities. It's an intimate setting, and will remind you of seeing a minor league team play. But these are major league players, and you can see them up close and personal.

How early should we get there to reserve decent space for 9 people on the lawn?

It depends upon the popularity of the game, but generally one hour before game time should be ok. You cannot “reserve” seats or space on the lawn, nor can you bring in lawn chairs. For more information, you can call the stadium offices.

Is there a R V park close by

Not that I know of. There is some street parking, but the garage is two story and I don't think an RV could get in because of it's height. There is open parking in the Old Town and would be a short walk, but I am not sure that they allow long RV's.

is there a bus?
NewArizonan
Scottsdale, AZ36 contributions
Yes! There is a Free bus. It is called the Scottsdale Trolley. The Trolley is a fleet of full size buses wrapped to appear like an old fashioned trolley. They run every 10 to 11 minutes. there are 6 routes that extend from Tempe in the south to Talking Stick Resort in the north. If your resort or hotel is on or near a trolley route, you have free, air conditioned, clean transportation to the ballpark. Since the Trolleys were designed for Scottsdale residents, every trolley route stops at the hospital which is across the street from the stadium. This trolley stop is 100 yards from the front door of the Stadium. This is practically valet service. The Trolleys are wheel chair accessible. Contact the Scottsdale chamber of commerce for a Trolley route map before you arrive or ask your hotel how close you are to a trolley stop.
If you are staying at a hotel on Scottsdale Road or Drinkwater, your second option is a pedicab. There are two types, the traditional bicycle powered rickshaw and the electric golf cart. There are no standard rates because pedicabs are not licensed. You tip the driver. However, it might be a good idea to ask the 'rate' to the ballpark and then negotiate.
The Scottsdale Trolley is one of the least known services in Scottsdale. It is fun and easy. Please give it a try. All the routes run about thirty minutes round trip. Depending on where you are staying, you could have a 10 minute free ride.

We went to an early afternoon game...I thought we paid $10 for adjacent lot parking, but my review says parking was free...we parked in a public lot next to the stadium.

If you buy lawn tickets, can you bring in a cooler? Is it OK to bring in low back (no legs seats) or just blankets allowed?

Biggest issue you will have is finding a place to park. Place is not my favorite. Spring Training draws big crowds.
