I spent almost $140 to get 5 people in to see this exhibit. It was so cheesy. Literally in about 15 minutes we were done, not even close to what we imagined it would be. Yes butterflies, not worth the $$. The aquarium might be better

This experience was great. The butterfly breeding area was one of the most fascinating things we had ever seen. Who knew that you can breed butterflies. We watched some that were emerging. The butterfly area where they were flying around was so cool and very pretty. Lots of butterflies everywhere and well worth your time. It was a lot smaller than the pictures on the internet portray. And there didn't seem to be a limit on the number of people who could enter at any point in time so we had a bit of a bad time navigating around people. No one was monitoring the attendees for social distancing and most people there didn't seem to care. Most people were wearing masks but not following the directional arrows or staying away from others. The floor arrows for which direction to go were not easy to follow given the layout of the place. We didn't watch the 17 minute movie. And they take those cheesy pictures of everyone when you enter and then try to get you to buy them in the "butterfly shop" that you have to walk through to get out - we didn't do that either and were not happy to be "shamed" by the staff. We highly recommend this place, especially if you can get a Groupon, but would recommend going during the "off hours" to avoid covid.

Response from ButterflyWonderland, General Manager at Butterfly Wonderland

Thank you for the kinds words, and we're glad you enjoyed your visit with us. Butterfly Wonderland does not breed butterflies and is controlled and monitored by the USDA – these chrysalis are flown in through a broker in Colorado from the world’s rainforests as chrysalis. The lab technicians hang the chrysalis on the boards in order that guests may see the butterflies as they emerge in the gallery windows. Once emerged, they are then released into the conservatory. We do announce hourly encouraging all guests to maintain social distancing and make sure the masks are worn properly. As Butterfly Wonderland practices limited capacity these counts are done constantly to each exhibit area not just the building total. As the garden is 10,000 sq feet and on the paths the guest sometimes miss judging as they look for their favorite butterfly; however only 45 people at a time are permitted in this area at one time. Butterfly Wonderland is highly committed in keeping all guests and staff safe. The building is sanitized in all areas from open to close as well as electrically sanitizer sprayed in high areas such as the theater. We wish every one to be safe and healthy.

Our family visited here not knowing what to expect. The short movie presentation was educational. The atrium with all the butterflies was so peaceful and relaxing. The building also has reptiles, fish and rain forest amphibians.

Its a beautiful place with a cool movie to watch. The butterfly conservatory is gorgeous. Only complaint is the price of the ticket. For that price i would expect to spend more time there
