I found Taliesin West rather disappointing. It's certainly an interesting building, but lacks the wow factor of nearly all the other Frank Lloyd Wright buildings I've visited, such as Fallingwater, Robie House or Unity Temple. The main problem however is that the tour went on...More

This is the must place to visit in Scottsdale if you have any inclinations towards appreciation of architecture. Actually, just hearing the stories Frank Lloyd Wright by the guides are worth the trip. He was a Character with a capital C. We have done this...More

was empty of architectural content. The three hour Desert/Insight Tour provided at least 40 min. "break," with more said about cacti than arch. concepts. And a 10 min. Become A Member spiel. Ignore the words and look at fine creativity! (reviews have lauded a guide...More

We did not have reservations and had no trouble getting a tour time shortly after arrival. It is not the prettiest FLW site we’ve visited, but a different insight into his genius.

Went on a tour of this really interesting home of Frank Lloyd Wright. Tour guide was fantastic however some of the docents were a bit snobby. We had a teenager and she liked it as well. This is not for young children. Be prepared for...More

We are big architecture fans, and next to Falling Water, this was our favorite tour. The guides are VERY knowledgeable and enthusiastic. You get to see FLW's personal quarters, the drafting room, theater, grounds, the "kiva" room and quite a bit more. Our guide was...More

We took the night time lights tour and really enjoyed it. Our guide Paula was very well informed and could answer any question thrown at her. We liked that we walked a bit and then got to sit in a room and here about it...More

I believe that most areas that the tour goes should be accessible. A lot of the walking tour goes over areas that are gravel covered, but it seems like they are passable. As I recall (I do not have your concern and... More

I don't think so. The interesting parts were historical about the time period and informational about Wright's life and work. I don't think kids would be interested in that. The Insight tour was about 1.5 hours and didn't... More
