While it's a beautiful theater, the sight lines for a performance are not too good. We went to the Champions of Magic show and sat in the 10th row. We both had to keep moving our heads in order to see past the people sitting in front of us. And no, they weren't tall at all.

At the intermission, we luckily were able to move to two empty seats in the handicapped row. From there, it was much easier to see the show.

Also, since it's an old theater, there are only one set of bathrooms, both downstairs. The lines at intermission were extremely long.

We wouldn't recommend seeing a show there where seeing the stage is important.

We went to the Ancient Aliens tour last night. The show was good as expected, but the Orpheum security and management were incredibly rude and unprofessional. There were several of us sitting in the lobby after the show waiting on our wives while they went to the VIP experience. One of these gentlemen was approx. 80 and has very low mobility. They rudely kicked us out and made us stand outside in the cold and dark even after we explained our disagreement. We had to stand outside and wait 30 minutes for the VIP experience to end without security, heat, or light in this neighborhood which has a lot of unsavory characters. I will never return to the Orpheum for any reason in the future. They have 100% lost a patron.

a few days ago we saw Shen Yun performance. Very impressive, amazing , educational experience in an artistic way. Both, the orchester, the instruments and dances just transported you to another world. Truly mesmerizing.

As my 50th Review for the year 2023, I had to select a recent visit to one of the foremost theatre venues in the Valley, not to mention, one of the best and beautiful in the country - the Orpheum Theatre. This incredibly ornate and luxurious work of art. The structure was Built in a Spanish Baroque style, that elaborate frescos and dados as an essential part of the overall aesthetic experience. But, did you know that there are 17 Orpheum Theatres in the country – that’s an intriguing chronicle worth researching! Our recent visit was to see and experience Pink Martini perform with our one-and-only Phoenix Philharmonic Orchestra – a fantabulous combination of music which enthralled every spectator. If you’ve not been to this theatre, it’s a must. It’s beautiful, elegant and enchanting – and the acoustics are magnificent. Long live the Phoenix Orpheum Theatre!

I've been trying to do this tour for ages. We had the good fortune of getting tickets (free) for yesterday. What a treasure this building is. We heard the history and even had a performance on the 'little sister' wurlitzer organ. This tour was so professionally done and the docents were very personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommended

Went to the Orpheum Theater for their Ghost tour/fund raiser. What beautifully eccentric décor. Vinnie and Rodger with AZPIRS (Arizona Paranormal Investigation and Research Society) were awesome and helped confirm that some of the spirits are still walking around/working there. We had such a wonderful time with AZPIRS and also helping support the much needed necessities that otherwise the theater could not afford such as to improve the dressing rooms/showers for the performers,

The security at the front door is ridiculous. Metal detectors and bag size requirements. Worse then TSA. It's humiliating to go through at a theatre. Ruins the whole experience. Too aggravated to enjoy the show.

The Orpheum Theater in Phoenix has movies. It is very different.

The outside is beige.

When we were here at Phoenix we had 5 choices:

Letter Kenny Live on Tour.

The Illuminists

Trixie Martel.

It was built to play silent films with theMighty Wurliziter.

This place is the style as the Spanish architecture.

Have fun!

Nice venue for live performances. I recently have the opportunity to experience Shen Yun. I like the location of this theater, but unfortunately, the seats are too small.(My tickets were for the balcony area.)This theater is full of details. I used an Uber to get to the theater, so I suggest checking their website. I am looking forward to more experiences at this theater.

This is an absolutely beautiful theater with great seats throughout and a fantastic sound system. We found the seats to be a little narrow, but comfortable nonetheless. For larger people, however, they are a little challenging.

Even the back row of the balcony provided a good view, plus the seats are a little less worn than those in the more used forward rows.

With it being around 1300 seats, you really can't go wrong with the cheaper balcony seats.
