If your in good enough shape, the hike to the top is well worth the effort. View all around, looking down on several lakes you'd never know were there cept for being atop the mountain. It is NOT an easy stroll in the park!

Maybe August is not the best month, but hey I was there then. Start at dawn, carry water, realize this is not a "well-kept" trail (Cholla) but expect a grand view. And its just rough because it was made that way

Stopped by to take in the beauty. Even at 118 degrees this was a spectacular site. If you are in the Phoenix area don't pass this up.

This is the most popular hike in Phoenix, but also quite challenging. There are 2 different sides of the mountain to climb. The top peaks are flat enough to rest a bit and take photos as the view of the city is nice. Worst part...More

great hike but bring a lot of water if you are going all the way up. you will have great views of the city. Do not go up the last portion to the summit unless you are experienced.

Camelback Mountain is great! However, if you’re coming from out of town figure out the trail and bring lots of water. Every year, people forget water or go off trail and have to get rescued. The hike is beautiful and should be on the list...More
