Worth a visit, it's very picturesque and unusual. Loved hearing the stories about it and the Virgin's Grave. The church is amazing and great photo opportunity.

Saleaula lava fields are are another piece of Savaii’s amazing natural scenery... crazy to see effects of eruption 100 years on... can even see corrugations where church roof fell on molten lava... informative tour guide... recommend staying next door at Bayview Resort for full lava...More

The lady met us at the entrance fale and explained us the whole story of the place. She was lovely, and really informative. It’s worth a visit! (10-20minutes)

There's a little house with some information about the Lava Fields which was neat and helpful! A woman escorted us through and relayed the story of what happened, it was so sunny she even got an umbrella for us to use - what great service!

I found this really interesting...only cost 5 tala and the girl told us lots about the stories of the lava field and the virgins grave. I thought it was a great attraction.

Trip with the family on a quick tour, interesting place but unfortunately it suffers from broken bottles and rubbish everywhere. Real pity, would be a higher recommendation if there was no rubbish, not to say that the rest of the island isn't covered in discarded...More

Pretty amazing to see natures work. And the Virginia grave is unreal how it didn't get covered over! One of those things you must see.

We loved the lava fields. During our visit we found out the women's committee they run the place. This means maintaining a massive area! Cleaning up rubbish cutting back and clearing the ever encroaching rain forest. The team of women do this all for free....More
