I don’t really know who Falla is, but it’s part of the day tour and the entrance ticket was so cheap. I was honestly indifferent on his life, I only got interested on how the affluent lived during his time. Anyway I was uninterested so I didn’t take any photos.

We did not take the bus to Alta Gracia to see this museum intentionally but rather to see the museum of the childhood home of Che Guevara (another review). I am no great musician but I knew of this composer’s works since I was a girl. My mother often played his Ritual of the Fire Dance and other compositions. De Falla’s home away from Spain was worth the accidental visit and I highly recommend it.

This is a small museum but worth a visit. Leaflet in English full of information available. Another little gem of Alta Gracia.

Interesting to those who loved the life of this great musician. He went there for health reasons only but he spent part of vos life.

For many a Spaniard Manuel de Falla is the greatest classical musician of recent times. He lived his last years and passed away in this house where you can see some personal items, his last will, the bed where he died... you can nearly feel his presence while listening to the music being played in the background. You can see Picasso drawings, letters from many Spanish cultural icons and best of all you can enjoy the explanations of the lady in charge of the Museum who knows absolutely everything about Falla and the times he lived in. Unmissable if you like good classical music or Spanish history.

A beautiful retreat for the composer/conductor Manuel de Falla when he was forced to live in exile from the Spanish dictator Franco. He shared the home with his sister, who cared for him. Their personal items give the visit an intimate feel.

I just visited this museum and found it unforgettable. The beautiful house and surroundings but overall the amazing explanation of Manuel de Falla's life By Nadia, the lovely girl of the entrance door, makes this museum a must when visiting Cordoba and Altagracia.
