It lets you experience the medieval time. Top organisation and wonderfull atmosphere. You can taste and eat several meals and stroll along different stalls of medieval craftsmanship. Block the annual fair in your calender !

Sad. We traveled quite a while to see this beautiful place just to see that it was closed. I recommend checking in their web site if it will be open. It was supposed to be open, but apparently there is a feria.

Worth a visit if you are in santa maria da feira. It's a well kept castle. You can walk around the walls, or go inside the towers.

Although with no much to see it is very interesting and beautiful. Small and without many directions, but with a very nice video about its history.

It is a great and beatiful monument. It is preserved and used in many events, like sunsets and exhibitions.

A definitely unusual castle in Portugal with a large and complex defensive system. The entry ticket includes a film about the castle's history.
